Breast cysts are divided into simple cysts and galactocysts, so we should pay attention to the causes and symptoms. Simple cysts are mainly caused by increased estrogen and decreased progesterone, while galactocysts may be caused by inflammatory stimulation or surgical injury. 1. Simple cyst It is most common in breast cysts. The age of onset is between 30 and 50 years old and is extremely rare before puberty and after menopause. The cause of the disease is endocrine disorders. The main reason is that the estrogen increases and the progesterone decreases or even lacks, which causes the mammary duct epithelium to proliferate and the number of cells to increase, leading to duct elongation and tortuosity, blood circulation obstruction and necrosis of the duct wall, forming cysts. After that, the tube wall shrinks, the tissue necrotizes and bleeds, which may cause inflammation. The cyst wall may also undergo malignant transformation. Therefore, attention must be paid. Most patients accidentally feel a breast lump that is round or oval in shape, with clear boundaries, is movable, and cystic. Breast tenderness before menstruation. The cyst gradually increases in size as the menstrual cycle changes. It is characterized by bilateral and multiple occurrences. The cysts grow rapidly and the contents are bloody. 2. Breast cyst Also called milk retention cyst. The age of onset is 20-40 years old. This disease is more likely to occur during pregnancy and lactation, especially after weaning. The etiology and pathological characteristics are: milk duct obstruction caused by any reason, such as inflammatory stimulation, surgical injury, resulting in stenosis or blockage of the milk duct, milk accumulation in the alveoli and terminal milk ducts, alveolar necrosis, fusion of each other to form cysts of varying sizes, shaped like balls. The cysts are unilocular or multilocular and vary in size from a few millimeters to several centimeters. The cyst contains thick, cheesy or thinner milk. The main clinical manifestations are lumps in the breast, some of which are accompanied by skin redness, burning sensation or mild pain. The lump can be large or small (it may shrink after breastfeeding or massage) and may gradually increase in size. It no longer increases after stopping breastfeeding. 3. Prevention of Breast Cysts 1. To prevent breast cysts, you should pay more attention to your diet. Patients with breast cysts should change their diet, eat less oily foods, prevent obesity, try to avoid using drugs containing estrogen, refrain from abusing contraceptives and beauty products containing estrogen, and avoid eating chicken, beef, pork, fish, etc. fed with hormone feed. 2. Pay attention to maintaining a regular life, balance work and rest, exercise more, and prevent obesity. Enhance the body's immunity. A regular life can regulate endocrine disorders, and maintaining smooth bowel movements can alleviate breast pain. Do not use health supplements containing hormones for a long time. 3. Emotional reasons can easily cause breast cysts, so you must pay attention to it in your daily life, keep a happy mood, avoid mood swings, and never have long-term mental depression, especially in the early stages of menstruation. |
