Breast lumps are generally a disease caused by changes in the structure of breast tissue, resulting in lumps inside. After discovering a breast lump, don't panic. Patients can first distinguish the benign or malignant changes of breast lumps through examinations such as breast ultrasound, mammography and breast MRI. So, what does a breast mass of grade 4b mean? What does a breast mass of grade 4b mean? Medical imaging examinations of the breast generally use the British Breast Imaging Data Statistical Analysis and Reporting System (BI-RADS) to uniformly describe the possibility of benign or deteriorating lumps. Breast lumps show information 4b, and the lumps are often irregular in shape, burred, and have no outer membrane, and the surrounding blood circulation is abundant. This situation indicates that the probability of breast lumps worsening is between 25-50%. For this type of lump, a pathological examination must be performed to establish a diagnosis. After the pathological examination is confirmed, a decision can be made as to whether surgical treatment is required. This kind of situation must be taken seriously and dealt with as soon as possible to avoid delaying the symptoms. Breast color ultrasound examination is called the "golden combination" together with breast molybdenum target X-ray because of its advantages of convenience and minimal invasiveness. It is currently the most commonly recognized and effective method for investigating breast masses. Breast ultrasound examination has the following advantages: 1. It is radiation-free and non-invasive, and can also be used by women during pregnancy and breastfeeding; 2. It is very valuable in distinguishing cystic or solid breast tumors; 3. It can perform multi-dimensional scanning and clearly display the breast anatomical structure and disease information; 4. It can clearly show whether there are enlarged lymph nodes in the armpit and the size, shape, and structure of the enlarged lymph nodes. Currently, the ultrasonic diagnosis of breast masses has been using the Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (BI-RADS) developed by the American College of Radiology (ACR). BI-RADS is divided into 0-6 levels: Grade 0: The evaluation is incomplete and needs to be combined with other imaging tests to make a final evaluation; Grade 1-3: The trend is good and regular follow-up is required; Grade 4: (4a, 4b, 4c) Abnormal malignant lesions, biopsy should be considered; Grade 5: It is almost certain to be a malignant lesion and the breast surgeon should take appropriate measures; Grade 6: It is pathologically diagnosed as malignant. Nowadays, the application of new ultrasonic technologies, such as ultrasound angiography, flexible imaging, automatic breast full-volume scanning imaging, etc., can also provide more abundant information for the diagnosis and diagnosis of breast masses. |
