What is hydatidiform mole?

Some friends suffer from a disease called hydatidiform mole, but they don’t know what it is. Hydatidiform mole is a common disease. If you suffer from this disease, you must refrain from sexual intercourse and take a tub bath. You should be examined and receive treatment. After recovery, you must insist on contraception. Generally, you should not get pregnant again within two years after treatment. Let’s take a look at what hydatidiform mole is.

Hydatidiform mole, also known as hydatidiform mole, is a disease caused by trophoblastic cell lesions. We know that when the egg and sperm meet, a fertilized egg is formed. Then the fertilized egg travels in the fallopian tube for 3 days before entering the uterus and developing into a mass of cells - the blastocyst. The blastocyst is divided into two parts, the outer layer of cells is called trophoblast cells, and the inner layer of cells is called blastoderm cells. The embryonic cells develop into the fetus, and the trophoblast cells develop into the placenta, becoming the basis for the growth and development of the fetus. When the trophoblast cells proliferate abnormally due to certain factors, edema will occur between the villi, and the villi will turn into blisters of varying sizes and lose their original function of absorbing nutrients. If this blister-like change affects the entire placenta or most of it, the embryo will die due to lack of nutrition and eventually be absorbed.

These blisters are connected by thin stalks and are of varying sizes, like a bunch of grapes, hence the name hydatidiform mole or vesicular pregnancy. Some hydatidiform mole blisters have the effect of eroding the surrounding tissues, which is called malignant hydatidiform mole. It can destroy and invade the myometrium of the uterus, and even pierce the uterine wall, causing abdominal hemorrhage; it can also invade the blood vessels and enter the blood, transfer to the lungs through the blood circulation and cause coughing up blood; it can also transfer along the blood vessels to the perineum and vagina, forming blue-purple metastatic nodules, which can cause heavy bleeding when the metastatic nodules rupture.

For patients with hydatidiform mole, they must avoid excessive physical labor. After the screen is replaced, they can engage in appropriate activities. They can do some simple activities according to their specific physical conditions, such as taking a walk, jogging, or practicing Tai Chi. They can only do some housework within their ability and should not be too tired.
