Why is breast cancer more likely to occur during lactation?

Nowadays, cancer has become the biggest scourge that takes people's lives, and the incidence rate of cancer is getting higher and higher. For female friends, breast cancer is the cancer with the highest incidence rate, and female friends are more likely to get breast cancer during breastfeeding. The typical feature of breast cancer is systemic inflammation, but breastfeeding women will not experience inflammation, so it is difficult to judge. So, why is breast cancer more likely to occur during lactation?

Breast cancer during lactation and pregnancy is easily misdiagnosed or delayed. There are many contributing factors to breast cancer, such as unreasonable diet, excessive intake of animal protein, environmental pollution, and high work pressure, which may cause immune disorders in the body and stimulate tumor formation. There is a common view that women who do not give birth or breastfeed have a higher risk of developing breast cancer, but it cannot be ignored that women are also at a high risk of breast cancer during pregnancy and breastfeeding. This is because the hormone levels in women during pregnancy and lactation change greatly, and the secretion of estrogen and progesterone is vigorous, which stimulates the growth of breast cancer.

However, breast cancer during lactation and pregnancy is easily misdiagnosed or delayed. Because breasts will proliferate and swell under hormonal stimulation during pregnancy, many breast lumps and lactation are considered normal physiological reactions during pregnancy and are not easily noticed by patients or doctors. At the same time, breast hyperplasia and swelling will affect the accuracy of visual examination and palpation, making inspection and identification difficult. Due to the enlargement of the breasts and the increase in breast tissue density, X-ray examinations often have difficulty in showing tumors, which also brings certain difficulties to early diagnosis.

If you experience any abnormalities in your breasts during pregnancy or lactation, you should seek medical attention immediately. Breast cancer during pregnancy and lactation can easily be confused with mastitis. From the appearance point of view, breast cancer during lactation and pregnancy causes extensive skin changes, often involving the entire breast, and the color is dark red or purple-red; from the perspective of lymph nodes, the axillary lymph nodes of breast cancer during lactation and pregnancy are enlarged and hard, adhered to the skin and surrounding tissues, and do not move when pushed by hand; from the perspective of systemic symptoms, breast cancer during lactation and pregnancy usually has no obvious systemic inflammatory response, such as: accompanied by fever, it is low fever; from the perspective of the course of the disease, breast cancer during lactation and pregnancy is a serious condition, and anti-inflammatory treatment is ineffective.

Women who are breastfeeding are more likely to get breast cancer. However, breast cancer is not a terminal illness. As long as you keep a happy mood, don't have too much stress, and develop good living habits, you can avoid and prevent breast cancer. If you have breast cancer, you must cooperate with treatment in a timely manner and maintain a good attitude. Only in this way can breast cancer be cured.
