What is mild polycystic ovary syndrome?

Many women should have some gynecological diseases to a greater or lesser extent. Due to the specificity of the female vagina and ovaries, it is more likely for bacteria to grow than male friends. If many female stars have some symptoms and do not realize them in time, the disease will become more and more serious and even lead to infertility. Polycystic ovary syndrome is a common disease. Let's learn about it!

Menstruation is scanty or amenorrhea may occur, and in a few cases, functional uterine bleeding may occur. It often occurs during adolescence and is characterized by irregular menstruation after menarche. Hirsutism is common, with an incidence of up to 69%. Due to the increase in androgen levels, the vellus hair on the upper lip, lower jaw, chest, back, middle of the lower abdomen, both sides of the upper thighs and around the anus may become thicker and more numerous, but the degree of hirsutism is not proportional to the androgen level.

Due to long-term anovulation, patients often suffer from infertility, and sometimes may have occasional ovulation or miscarriage, with an incidence rate of up to 74%. Overweight is more than 20%, obesity is mostly concentrated in the upper body, and the waist/hip ratio is >0.85. It usually starts during adolescence and gradually worsens with age. Symmetric gray-brown pigmentation appears in the skin folds of the labia, back of the neck, under the armpits, under the breasts and in the groin, and the skin becomes thicker and softer.

In a few patients with enlarged ovaries, enlarged and firm ovaries can be felt through general gynecological examination, but most of them require B-ultrasound examination to confirm. Because there is no ovulation, progesterone cannot be produced. If the endometrium is stimulated by excessive amounts of estrogen for a long time, rapid endometrial hyperplasia, atypical hyperplasia, and even cancer may occur.

Go to bed early and get up early, and maintain 8 hours of sleep every day. Adequate sleep is beneficial to recovery from illness. Sexual intercourse is prohibited, exercise should be strengthened to improve physical fitness, but strenuous exercise should be avoided.

If a woman suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome, she must receive timely treatment, otherwise it is likely to lead to female infertility. It is an important factor in young female infertility. Many female infertility cases are caused by this disease. If it is a mild disease, timely treatment can still cure it, so we must hurry up for treatment.
