Human beings have two genders, male and female, and each has their own physiological characteristics. Men have a prostate gland and women have ovaries. Therefore, many diseases have the characteristics of occurring in a certain gender population, and polycystic ovary syndrome is one of them, which only women may suffer from. Around the world, many women suffer from the symptoms of this disease. Today I will tell you how to treat polycystic ovary syndrome. Patients with polycystic ovary syndrome have the following clinical manifestations. 1. Obesity: About half of the patients have this symptom, which is related to excessive androgen, increased proportion of unbound testosterone and long-term stimulation of estrogen. 2. Menstrual disorders: oligomenorrhea, secondary amenorrhea and anovulatory uterine bleeding occur after menarche. 3. Bilateral ovarian enlargement: The enlargement of the ovaries can be observed through laparoscopy; the volume of the ovaries can be determined through laparoscopy or B-ultrasound examination. 4. Hirsutism: Abundant body hair, pubic hair with male distribution, oily skin, and acne are caused by the accumulation of androgens. Treatment of hirsutism can be done by regularly cutting the hair or applying "hair removal agents". Avoid plucking the hair to prevent stimulating excessive growth of hair follicles. Electrolysis treatment or androgen-inhibiting drugs can also be used. Oral contraceptives are also ideal. Estrogen-based estrogen and progesterone combination tablets are more ideal. They can inhibit LH secretion, reduce blood testosterone, androstenedione and DHEAS, and increase sex hormone binding globulin concentrations. Progestins have weak anti-androgenic and mild gonadotropin-suppressing effects, which can reduce the levels of testosterone and 17-ketosteroids. Medroxyprogesterone (progesterone acetate) is more commonly used. Generally, oral glucocorticoids are used in combination with related drugs. The effect of adrenocortical hormones is based on its ability to inhibit excessive androgen secretion from the ovaries or adrenal glands. Dexamethasone or prednisone is usually used. The effective rate within 2 months is 35.7%, and the ovarian function of patients with amenorrhea and anovulation is restored to a certain extent. Having said so much, if female friends experience the above symptoms, they can make a judgment in their hearts and will not be too nervous when seeking medical treatment. This is true for all diseases. Once diagnosed, one should not be afraid of the disease, but should understand it and take relevant measures to overcome it. You must not be too nervous or lose your composure. Maintaining a good attitude is very beneficial to the treatment of the disease. |
