What foods are better for increasing milk production?

Many mothers worry whether their breast milk can feed their babies during breastfeeding. So what should mothers eat during breastfeeding to increase their milk supply and meet the baby's needs?

I believe this is also a problem that many mothers are concerned about, so today the editor has collected the following milk-producing recipes. Mothers with low milk supply can refer to them. This will also help you produce milk, so that you won’t starve your baby.

Diet for lactation:

1. The diet during lactation should refer to the recommended supply of my country's Nutrition Society, increase the supply of various nutrients, especially high-quality protein, calcium, zinc, iron, iodine and B vitamins, and pay attention to the appropriate proportion between nutrients. For example, the heat supply ratio of protein, fat and carbohydrates should be 13%-15%, 27% and 58%-60% respectively. Breastfeeding mothers should also drink more chicken soup, fish soup, pork rib soup, crucian carp soup or pig's trotter soup to ensure sufficient milk.

2. Breastfeeding mothers can take multivitamins orally, or they can combine Chinese and Western medicines or acupuncture treatments under the guidance of a doctor.

Recipes for breastfeeding:

1. Rice wine and egg drop soup

Ingredients: 1 piece of fermented rice, 1 egg

Preparation method: Add water to the fermented rice and bring to a boil, then add the eggs and cook into egg drop soup shape. It can be consumed while hot.

Efficacy: replenishes qi and produces body fluid, activates blood circulation and stops bleeding, promotes lactation.

2. Shrimp porridge

Ingredients: 30 grams of dried shrimp, 100 grams of japonica rice.

Preparation method: Add water to the japonica rice and cook it into porridge as usual. When the porridge is half cooked, add the washed dried shrimps. It is ready to eat when the rice soup is thick.

Efficacy: The porridge is rich in nutrients, containing protein, fat, calcium, phosphorus, iron and other nutrients. Chinese medicine believes that this porridge can nourish the kidneys and strengthen yang, improve sperm quality and promote lactation. It is suitable for postpartum women with little milk.

The foods listed here can help promote lactation, so mothers can eat some of them regularly. These foods have high nutritional value and can also help mothers recover. In addition, many mothers may choose to let their children drink milk powder, but this may affect your child's immunity, so the editor recommends that mothers let their children drink breast milk.
