Detailed introduction to the structure of the uterus

1. Vagina - It is the channel for sexual intercourse, menstruation and fetal delivery. It is the safe passage connecting the private parts and uterus, close to the bladder, urethra and duodenum.

2. The uterus is a cavity organ shaped like an inverted pear, slightly flattened front and back, located in the center of the pelvis, divided into two parts: the body and the cervix. It is the area where the fetus is created and menstruation occurs.

3. Bilateral fallopian tubes - a pair of long, curved tubes, about 12 cm long, which can transport male sperm and eggs and are the key location for egg fertilization.

4. Uterus and ovaries - oval in shape, are a pair of organs that produce eggs and secrete female hormones, and have reproductive and metabolic functions. The size of an adult female ovary is about 4 × 3 × 1 cm, and weighs about 5-6 grams.

The vagina is a line of tubular muscle tissue that connects the private parts and the uterus. The muscles are covered with a network of capillaries, which expand and cause hematoma during sex. Normally the vaginal wall is closed and only expands when using tampons or insertion and during childbirth. The vagina is about 7 cm long and can expand and contract independently during sexual intercourse; it is connected to the cervix at the top. The vagina is surrounded by the bladder in front and the duodenum in the back, and is protected by the strong pelvic bones and muscles. Unless the vagina is injured or underdeveloped, sexual intercourse can be carried out in any size of the vagina. Therefore, if the vagina is normal but there are difficulties in sexual intercourse, it must be caused by psychological disorders. For example, if you feel nervous before sexual intercourse, the vaginal muscles will tighten, making it impossible to penetrate and you cannot have sexual intercourse.

The uterus is shaped like a pear, a cavity-shaped organ composed of muscle, located in the pelvis. It looks like a triangle when viewed from the back, with a layer of uterine wall inside. The uterine wall of adult women undergoes regular changes and shedding, accompanied by bleeding, which is called menarche. The uterus is the uterine body at the top and the cervix at the bottom. The cervical opening is in the shape of a thin strip, and the area between the uterine body and the cervix is wider and cavity-like. Below the cervix is the vagina; the uterus is usually close to the bladder, forming a 90-degree angle with the vagina; when the bladder is inflated, it will tilt backwards, a condition called retroverted uterus. The uterine body is connected to the bilateral fallopian tubes.

The bilateral fallopian tubes are two thin tubes located above the uterus. They extend from the uterus to the ovaries and connect to the uterus to receive the eggs discharged from the uterus. The fallopian tubes are where sperm and egg cells meet for fertilization, and the secretions in the tubes also nourish the sperm and egg to be delivered to the uterus.

The uterus and ovaries are two oval organs that produce egg cells, equivalent to the testicles in men.
