What is the cause of itchy small bumps on the vulva?

The genitals are the most vulnerable part of the body and health problems can easily occur if you are not careful. Among various problems, the most common and highest incidence is genital itching. The genital itching is different from other parts. The genital itching cannot be scratched like other itching, which is really a headache. Well today, let’s briefly talk about what causes itchy small bumps on the vulva.

The reasons why small bumps on the vulva are itchy:

1. Bad hygiene habits: Not paying attention to the local cleanliness of the vulva, long-term stimulation by sebum, sweat, menstrual blood, vaginal secretions, or immersion in urine and feces can cause pimples on the vulva.

2. Sanitary napkins during menstruation and non-breathable synthetic underwear at other times can induce itching due to long-term accumulation of moisture and heat in the local area.

3. Drug allergy or chemical irritation: Soap, condoms, benzalkonium bromide, etc. can cause contact or allergic dermatitis due to direct irritation or allergy, resulting in symptoms such as vulvar itching.

Solutions to itchy pimples on the vulva:

1. Keep the vulva clean and dry, especially during menstruation, pregnancy and postpartum period. Wash the vulva and change underwear every day. Do not wear synthetic underwear or tight pants, wear cotton underwear.

2. People with vulvar itching should cut their nails and wash their hands frequently, and avoid scratching their skin to prevent ulceration and infection, which may lead to secondary bacterial infection.

3. Do not use irritating soaps, medicines, or water that is too cold or too hot to clean the vulva, so as not to disrupt the acid-base balance of the vagina.

If any abnormal physical condition occurs, it must be resolved promptly to avoid the consequences of momentary negligence, which may lead to more serious illnesses in the future. In daily life, we must pay attention to developing good living and work habits to enhance our immunity. Having said so much, I believe that friends have already understood the causes and corresponding solutions to the problem of itchy bumps on the vulva.
