Can irregular menstruation cause poor follicle development?

If you ask women why they should make things difficult for other women, then what I want to say is that women are indeed the animals that have a harder life in the world. Many women have to face the problem of irregular menstruation every month in their life, or even the problem of dysmenorrhea. Of course, there are often problems caused by poor follicular development. Will irregular menstruation cause poor follicular development?

Irregular menstruation can cause poor follicular development. There are ovarian and follicular manifestations of ovulatory cycle. Characteristics of mature follicles: The largest follicle monitored by B-ultrasound appears on the 10th to 16th day of menstruation. The follicle is 20mm in diameter, round in shape, with thin walls, protruding to one side of the ovary, and has good internal sound permeability. Ovulation usually occurs within 10 hours, and the ovulation time is mostly between the 12th and 18th day of menstruation, and a few may occur between 20th and 30th days. Characteristics after ovulation: partial collapse of the follicle wall, wrinkled and jagged edges, with many faint light spots inside, and a 5-15mm liquid dark area visible in the uterine rectal crypts, which usually disappears one day after ovulation. The success rate of pregnancy during this period is as high as 90%.

Follicles in anovulatory cycles. The luteinized unruptured follicle type is more common. Ultrasound monitoring shows that after the formation of the dominant follicle, the follicle continues to grow. The largest follicle can reach 50-60 mm. The capsule gradually thickens, the boundaries become blurred, the vesicle tension decreases, and the vesicle gradually becomes an uneven light spot echo. Generally, it disappears during the next menstrual cycle. But in a few patients, the condition persists for 3 months and then disappears.

There are several situations in which the disorder of menstrual cycle or bleeding volume is manifested:

① Irregular uterine bleeding, including: excessive menstruation or prolonged duration, which is common in uterine fibroids, endometrial polyps, endometrial hyperplasia, endometriosis, etc.; scanty menstruation, with less menstrual volume and menstrual period; frequent menstruation, i.e. menstrual intervals less than 25 days; prolonged menstrual cycle, i.e. menstrual intervals longer than 35 days; irregular bleeding, which can be caused by various reasons, with no regularity at all, and the above situations can be caused by local reasons, endocrine reasons or systemic diseases;

② Functional uterine bleeding refers to abnormal uterine bleeding caused by endocrine regulation system disorders without obvious organic lesions in the internal and external genitalia. It is the most common type of menstrual disorder and is common in adolescence and menopause. It is divided into ovulatory and anovulatory types. About 85% of cases are anovulatory functional uterine bleeding.

③ Postmenopausal vaginal bleeding refers to bleeding 6 months after menstruation stops, often caused by malignant tumors, inflammation, etc.;

④Amenorrhea refers to the absence of menstruation or the cessation of menstrual cycle for more than 3 cycles after it has been established. The former is primary amenorrhea and the latter is secondary amenorrhea.

To sum up, once the patient has serious menstrual irregularities, it will often cause problems with poor follicular development. At this time, the patient should pay attention to further scientific dietary adjustments during the menstrual period. Not only should you not have sex too frequently before menstruation, but women during this period should also avoid eating raw, cold foods.
