What is the reason for the dreg-like leucorrhea in early pregnancy

Every expectant mother will find that her vaginal discharge has increased significantly in the early stages of pregnancy, and the doctor also tells us that this is a normal phenomenon in early pregnancy. So are all leucorrheas a physiological phenomenon? Absolutely not. So we should not ignore the symptoms of leucorrhea, because leucorrhea can help us observe the gynecological health of pregnant mothers.

The increase in vaginal discharge in the early stages of pregnancy is due to the effect of estrogen in the female body. The water in the cervix and vaginal walls and the blood in the blood vessels are more than usual, so the vaginal discharge naturally increases as well.

If you are pregnant, there will be a significant increase in leucorrhea. This is because after pregnancy, the estrogen in the body gradually increases with the advancement of pregnancy months. Estrogen can promote the secretion of mucus by the cervix and endometrial glands. The blood flow in the genitals, vagina, and cervix of pregnant women is vigorous, and the tissue water increases, so the secretions also increase, and the amount of leucorrhea also increases accordingly.

In addition to the symptoms of leucorrhea, physiological changes in the early stages of pregnancy include cessation of menstruation, increased vaginal discharge, and bleeding. Although the amount of vaginal discharge will increase in the early stages of pregnancy, if the increase is serious and the color and condition of the vaginal discharge are abnormal, it may be some kind of gynecological inflammation and you need to go to the hospital for examination.

Therefore, it is normal to have increased vaginal discharge in early pregnancy. If your vulva doesn't itch and your vaginal discharge doesn't have an odor, there's no need to worry. However, if you experience vulvar itching and pain, yellow leucorrhea with a strange or foul smell, you need to go to the hospital for treatment, as this may be caused by vulvar or vaginal disease.

After a woman becomes pregnant, her resistance will be weaker than usual due to various physical reasons. At this time, the secretions of the vulva increase, so she should pay more attention to daily cleanliness to prevent the breeding of bacteria and gynecological diseases. When we have discovered that the leucorrhea is not normal, please go to a regular doctor for treatment as soon as possible. Otherwise it will affect the development of the fetus.
