Endometriosis treatment options

Many people want to know what endometriosis is. They have never heard of this disease. Not only has it never been heard of, but it often occurs in life, especially in women. Due to congenital problems and abortions, the damage to the uterus may lead to endometriosis. In the following article, the editor will introduce to you how to treat it and what causes it.

What is Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease in women caused by the implantation of endometrial cells in abnormal locations.

Endometrial cells should grow in the uterine cavity, but because the uterine cavity is connected to the pelvic cavity through the fallopian tube, endometrial cells can enter the pelvic cavity through the fallopian tube and grow ectopically.

There are many theories about the pathogenesis of this disease, among which the endometrial implantation theory is widely accepted.

In addition, the occurrence of endometriosis is also related to the body's immune function, genetic factors, and environmental factors.

Causes of Endometriosis

1. Having sex during menstruation

Having sex during menstruation is believed to be the main cause of retrograde menstruation, because the uterus contracts during sex, causing more retrograde menstruation.

2. Late marriage

Nowadays, many female friends choose to marry late and have few pregnancies. It is estimated that such women will have about 450-500 menstrual periods in their lifetime. After each menstruation, some lost endometrial tissue is left behind, which will cause the problem of endometriosis over time.

3. Immunity

What causes endometriosis? The backflow of menstrual blood in a woman's body will be naturally eaten up by the immune system. Once the immune system decreases, it is easy for the endometrial tissue to flow and attach in the body.

4. Menstrual disorders

In particular, menstrual disorders such as shortened menstrual cycles, frequent menstruation, heavy menstrual flow, prolonged menstruation, and abdominal pain during menstruation increase the frequency and amount of menstrual blood flowing from the fallopian duct to the pelvic cavity, and increase the chance of menstrual blood backflow and the release of endometrial fragments.

Regarding diseases like endometriosis, generally speaking, it may cause infertility and even lead to abortion. You must pay attention to it. It can also easily cause a decrease in immunity, which may cause very great or even destructive harm to the individual's body.
