What causes abdominal cramps in women?

The lower abdomen is where important female organs are located, so if there is discomfort in this area, you need to pay attention to it. For example, if a woman has cramps in her lower abdomen, it may be caused by many reasons. At this time, not only do you need to adjust your mental state, but you also need to treat your illness in a timely manner.

Abdominal cramps that occur during sexual intercourse generally do not involve pathological factors. Lower abdominal cramps are mostly caused by psychological factors and are more common during the wedding period. Sexual intercourse may be difficult because women feel nervous or resistant to it. A very small number of women have abnormal vaginal structure, which manifests as muscle tension and twitching even during gynecological examinations.

In addition, people who have had vaginal injuries (including vulvar and vaginal surgery, severe vaginal inflammation complicated by vulvar and vaginal adhesions) may not be able to expand their vagina normally during sexual intercourse due to vulvar and vaginal scars, making it difficult or impossible for the male's penis to enter, and causing unbearable pain to the female. If it is due to scars, it is best to have surgery to remove the scars as soon as possible so that the vagina can expand normally.

It should be noted that if you feel pain during intercourse, have white discharge like tofu dregs, the discharge smells sour or fishy, or if there is damage to the vulva after intercourse (including damage to the perineal skin and labia majora mucosa), it may indicate vaginitis. If you experience deep vaginal pain or lower abdominal pain, it may be related to pelvic inflammation or endometriosis. In addition to cervicitis, cervical cancer can also manifest as symptoms of vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse. To be on the safe side, cervical cancer screening should be done immediately.

Therefore, once a woman experiences lower abdominal cramps, she first needs to adjust her psychological problems and do relaxation exercises on her body. Doing some appropriate physical exercise will have a certain relieving effect. If it is caused by other gynecological diseases, you must go to the hospital for treatment in time.
