What are the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis and how is it treated?

At present, due to the pressure of life and work, the biological clocks of many women are disrupted, their body resistance is reduced, their immunity is continuously reduced, and harmful bacteria take advantage of the situation to invade. In daily life, people should pay attention to understanding the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis and also pay attention to good treatment methods. Early detection and early treatment are important for the recovery of patients with bacterial vaginosis. The editor has compiled some treatment methods for everyone, let’s take a look.

Those with symptoms complain of grayish-white leucorrhea with a fishy odor, vaginal burning and itching. Increased leucorrhea is not a unique symptom of this disease. Gonorrhea, candidal vaginitis, and Trichomonas vaginitis can all present with clinical symptoms of increased leucorrhea. Most patients with this disease are women of childbearing age. The disease has a slow onset and the subjective symptoms are not obvious, with the main manifestation being increased leucorrhea.

1. General treatment. Keep the vulva clean and dry and avoid scratching. Do not eat spicy foods. Change your underwear frequently and wash it with warm water. Do not mix it with other clothes to avoid cross infection.

2. Drug treatment 1) Metronidazole is currently considered to have reliable efficacy, taken twice a day for 7 consecutive days. (2) Methicillin (clomiphene) is used for 3 days. (3) Thiamphenicol (Thiamycin) is effective against a variety of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, and has a good therapeutic effect on the growth of anaerobic bacteria, so it can also be used. (4) Cleansing and ampicillin can also be used. In recent years, it has been advocated that no treatment is needed for asymptomatic people.

3. Local therapy. Topical medications can be used for treatment, such as metronidazole suppositories, once a night for 7 consecutive days.

4. Treatment of complications. If other pathogens are detected, use medications targeting those pathogens to avoid the abuse of antibiotics. Pay attention to the medication for systemic conditions, and provide support and immunotherapy at the same time, and pay attention to adverse drug reactions.

5. Treatment of sexual partners. Male sex partners are treated at the same time. This disease can cause infertility, affect fetal development, induce other diseases, and affect the quality of life of couples.

The editor reminds everyone that bacterial vaginitis is generally caused by one's own flora and external flora. The external flora is caused by infection. Patients must pay attention to their own hygiene and pay more attention to preventing the chance of external infection. It is recommended that female patients maintain good living habits and enhance their body resistance.
