If they have genital warts, especially if the affected area is the vagina, they are reluctant to let others know. Vaginal warts are actually treatable. As long as you know more about the symptoms of the disease, you can avoid the disease from developing seriously. So what are the treatment methods? Let me explain them to you.

Clinical features: It is prone to occur in the external genitalia, anus, frenulum, perineum, clitoris, cervix, vagina, urethral orifice, urethra, rectum, mouth, nipple, umbilicus, groin, between toes, bladder, ureter and other parts.

Treatment:

Topical medications

Before medication, apply 1% tetracaine locally for surface anesthesia to relieve pain.

① Apply 33%~50% trichloroacetic acid externally once a week. Generally, the lesions will disappear after 1-3 times. Trichloroacetic acid has low toxicity, does not damage the surrounding normal skin, and does not form scars after the lesions are repaired. It can be used for vaginal and cervical lesions.

② Apply 1% phthalamide ointment 3-5 times a day. It is expected to be cured in 4-6 weeks. It has little irritation and is widely used.

③Apply 10%-25% podophyllum resin to the lesions. This drug is cytotoxic, can inhibit the M phase of cell division, and is highly irritating. Be careful not to apply it to normal skin. It cannot be used for vaginal and cervical lesions. Wash it off 2-4 hours after application. Apply once a week and can be used continuously for 3-4 times.

Physical or surgical treatment

Physical therapies include microwave, laser, and freezing. Microwaves coagulate at the base of the warts. Since it is a contact treatment, it can be applied to genital warts in any part of the body. Laser is suitable for warts in any part of the body and for warts that are difficult to treat, large in size, or multiple in number. Cryosurgery is suitable for warts that are smaller and have more localized lesions. Giant genital warts can be removed using a microwave knife or surgery.

Infection with sexually transmitted diseases causes many patients with genital warts to feel fear, anxiety, and excessive mental burden, and they worry that they cannot be cured. In addition to causing numerous harms to the body, it can also endanger the female cervix, fallopian tubes and other organs closely related to fertility, leading to female infertility and even causing harm to the fetus in the mother's belly.
