How to deal with postpartum body odor?

For a woman, giving birth to a child is the most important event in her life. After giving birth, she can feel the joy of being a mother. Although being a mother can make women more responsible and more optimistic about their future life, many women will encounter a problem, that is, the appearance of odor in their lower body after giving birth. Many mothers have no idea what to do when faced with this problem. So, what is the cause of postpartum genital odor and how to deal with it?

In most cases, postpartum body odor is caused by inflammation. You should pay attention to vaginal hygiene, change your underwear frequently every day, and wash your vagina with clean water, but do not use too many external washes, because excessive washing will only destroy the normal acid and alkaline environment of the vagina. Only when the disease really occurs and the doctor has confirmed it, you should wash it. On normal days, insist on washing with warm water, change your underwear once or twice a day, eat less spicy food, don't wear too tight underwear, keep a happy mood, coordinate your endocrine system, and pay attention to not having frequent sex. These are all things you need to keep in mind.

1. Go to the hospital for a secretion check to avoid puerperal infection

2. Do not abuse medications and lotions

3. Before going to the hospital for examination, do not apply medicine or rinse to avoid affecting observation.

Considering that the child is breastfeeding now, there is no treatment method. The only way is to add a little vinegar to the boiled water after it cools down, and clean it once a day. Don't wash it too many times. The reason for using vinegar is that the vagina is weakly acidic, so beneficial bacteria can easily survive, have strong disease resistance, and can kill harmful bacteria. This is the only way now.

It is worth noting that some mothers will try to spray some perfume on their bodies in order to cover up the unpleasant odor. This practice is very incorrect. Although this method can cover up the odor to a certain extent, if the baby smells this unpleasant smell, some abnormal conditions may occur. Therefore, it is better to see a doctor if there is any genital odor after delivery.
