What are the causes of lower abdominal pain caused by gynecological inflammation?

Nowadays, many female friends experience lower abdominal distension and pain due to various reasons. Gynecological health experts say that most of them are intermittent, so they usually do not attract enough attention from women. Some people have continuous distension and pain. Many people do not quite understand the reasons for the sudden distension and pain in the lower abdomen. In fact, this is very likely related to gynecological inflammation.

It is understood that there are many reasons for lower abdominal pain in women, whether it is surgical disease or internal medicine disease, it may cause abdominal pain. For women, once lower abdominal pain occurs, in addition to considering whether they have internal or external diseases, they should also consider whether they have gynecological diseases. Many gynecological diseases can cause lower abdominal pain.

Causes of lower abdominal pain:

Reason 1: Endometriosis

Clinical manifestations: Severe pain in the lower abdomen during menstruation every month, and slight pain before menstruation

Cells in the uterus gradually grow into places outside the uterus where they don't belong, such as the fallopian tubes, ovaries, and outside the bladder. At the end of the period, these cells also bleed lightly, causing inflammation and damage to the areas they extend to. Our bodies automatically create scar tissue to surround these cells and stop this destructive effect. The production of scar tissue can cause lower abdominal pain and reduce our fertility.

At first, the patient feels the abdominal fullness that is common before menstruation, followed by a feeling of lower abdominal pain similar to that before menstruation, but not at the time of premenstrual pain.

Reason 2: Pelvic tumor

Pelvic tumors: The pelvis is composed of the part surrounded by the pelvic peritoneum (communicating with the abdominal cavity) and the part outside the pelvic peritoneum (communicating with the retroperitoneal space). What common people call a “little belly”. Primary pelvic tumors have an insidious onset, and patients often delay seeking medical attention due to atypical symptoms. It may be 4 to 6 months or even 4 to 5 years before a correct diagnosis is made, so the tumor has ample opportunity to grow. More common in middle-aged women. Common ones include uterine fibroids, cervical cancer, ovarian cysts, etc.

Cause 3: Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease

Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease: This disease is the most common cause of lower abdominal pain in women. Most of them are caused by acute pelvic inflammation in women after cesarean section, ovarian cystectomy or appendicitis, which is not treated in time. It is characterized by three major symptoms: low back pain, intermittent pain in the lower abdomen, and increased vaginal discharge. Lower abdominal pain is caused by increased inflammatory exudates, which leads to pelvic adhesions, seriously affecting life and health. Therefore, it is particularly important to treat diseases early and prevent them early if you are healthy.

Reason 4: Physiological pain

Physiological pain: Physiological pain includes ovulation abdominal pain and dysmenorrhea. Ovulation abdominal pain usually disappears on its own after one or two days, and generally does not exceed seven days. This type of abdominal pain usually does not cause any pathological changes, and the gynecological examination is completely normal. It is physiological abdominal pain and generally does not require treatment. Dysmenorrhea is characterized by gradually increasing pain, often in a cyclical manner, or dull pain in the lower abdomen during non-menstrual periods that worsens before and after menstruation. In addition, it is often accompanied by infertility and menstrual disorders, which often require drug treatment.

Women are very prone to lower abdominal pain due to their physiological characteristics such as menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding, which leads many women to often ignore the problem of lower abdominal pain, thinking that it is no big deal. In fact, in addition to special physiological factors, women's low back pain is often caused by gynecological diseases. Yang Jianqing, an expert at Changsha Liren Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, reminds women that if they often experience lower abdominal pain, they must not ignore it and should go to a professional hospital immediately to seek medical treatment to avoid delaying the best time to treat the disease.

Now everyone has their own understanding of what severe bleeding in stool is related to, so when women experience lower abdominal distension and pain, they should pay attention to it. If necessary, they need to go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible. Remember to drink plenty of water, eat a light diet, and maintain a good attitude, which is very helpful in preventing the occurrence of gynecological diseases.
