What are some ways to prevent hemorrhoid bleeding?

Friends who suffer from hemorrhoids know that when hemorrhoids prolapse, not only will there be pain symptoms, but in severe cases there will also be bleeding and when the hemorrhoids cannot be retracted for a long time, it will cause congestion, making hemorrhoid patients often restless and even affecting insomnia. When hemorrhoids prolapse and cause heavy bleeding, it can also be dangerous. Let's take a look at what methods can be used to prevent hemorrhoid bleeding.

1. Eat a light diet

To prevent hemorrhoid bleeding, it is advisable to eat a light diet, eat less spicy, fried, deep-fried, strong alcohol and other indigestible and irritating foods, eat more fruits, vegetables and fibrous foods, and drink plenty of water.

For example: spinach, celery, wild rice stem, watermelon, pear, banana, apple, etc. (eat less oranges because they are hot fruits). On the one hand, they can keep bowel movements smooth, and on the other hand, they can reduce the expansion of blood stasis in hemorrhoids. There are many health foods that are effective in preventing and treating hemorrhoids, including turtle, soft-shelled turtle, pig or sheep large intestine, snails, loach, honey, red beans, black sesame, walnut meat, bamboo shoots, Cistanche, Sophora japonica, lotus root, black fungus, radish, figs, etc. Spicy foods, such as mustard, chili peppers, hot sauce, ginger, onions, garlic, fennel, etc., have a great impact on the congestion and bleeding of hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoid patients should eat less or try not to eat them.

2. Regular bowel movements

To prevent hemorrhoid bleeding, you should have bowel movements regularly every day. Even if you don't have a bowel movement, you should go to the toilet regularly to do bowel movement conditioned reflex training. Each bowel movement should not be too long, about 5 minutes is appropriate. Patients with constipation should avoid exerting excessive force when going to the toilet and should take medicine to clear the intestines and relieve constipation in time. On the other hand, diarrhea should also be prevented. Having bowel movements multiple times a day, even if the stools are loose and thin, can damage hemorrhoids.

3. Warm water bath

Take a potassium permanganate warm water sitz bath and fumigate before and after defecation to keep the anus clean. Twice a day, 15 minutes each time. Apply soap to your fingers and gently insert them into the anus for massage. Do not use too much force to avoid damaging the mucous membrane.

4. Lubricate the intestines and promote bowel movements

Drink a glass of warm salt water or cool boiled water every morning when you wake up to promote intestinal peristalsis. If the stool is dry, you can take laxatives to prevent hemorrhoidal bleeding.

5. Exercise more

Keep a good mood and strengthen physical exercise. Do not stand or sit for long periods of time, and increase exercise appropriately, especially pelvic floor exercises. Contract and relax the anus, fifty times each time, about three minutes, once or twice a day. You can do it standing, sitting, or lying down, anytime and anywhere.

6. Patients with hypertension, arteriosclerosis, liver cirrhosis, heart disease, abdominal tumors and other conditions that are prone to hemorrhoids should take effective measures to seek timely treatment to avoid further illness.

The above-mentioned methods are all effective in preventing hemorrhoid bleeding. Daily conditioning can reduce the recurrence of hemorrhoids, thereby reducing the bleeding caused by hemorrhoid attacks. If hemorrhoid attacks occur for a long time and frequently, it is recommended to go to the hospital for surgical treatment. Surgical removal of hemorrhoids can greatly improve the quality of life and avoid the pain caused by hemorrhoid prolapse.
