How to calculate the duration of pregnancy to give birth

The so-called 10-month pregnancy, generally speaking, full-term babies have much better resistance than premature babies, and their survival rate is also very high. They are also much easier to take care of than premature babies.

Therefore, generally speaking, pregnant women should start calculating their due date after becoming pregnant, and try their best to take good care of their bodies so that they can give birth at full term. So how do you calculate your pregnancy time?

Generally, it is 280 days from the last menstrual period, which is 10 months in monthly. However, it varies from person to person. Some may be a few days earlier, and some may be a few days later. Generally, a week earlier is not considered premature, and a later one requires hospitalization for observation.

The so-called ten-month pregnancy is the last sexual intercourse after the pregnancy is confirmed + 10 months. Normally, women's menstruation is about 28 days. You haven't had your menstruation yet. Check if there are any major changes or abnormalities in your lifestyle in the past few months. If not, you may be pregnant. You can use a pregnancy test paper to check if it is acidic pregnancy. The expected date of delivery is mid-February next year.

The gestation period is generally about 280 days, which is 9 months and 1 week.

The formula for calculating a baby’s date of birth is: month + 9 (or -3), day + 7.

Example: The last menstrual period was on April 2, 1994. The expected date of delivery is: 4 months + 9 months = 13 months, which is January of the following year; 2 days + 7 days = 9 days. The expected date of delivery was January 9, 1995.

If the menstrual period is inaccurate, it can be calculated based on the time when fetal movement begins. The first fetal movement for a first-time pregnant woman is around 18-20 weeks, and the due date may be 20-22 weeks later. It is also possible to measure the fetus or the height of the uterine fundus based on ultrasound. By combining these methods in the late stages of pregnancy, you can know when your baby will be born.

Since it is difficult to determine the date of egg fertilization, the first day of the last menstrual period is clinically regarded as the beginning of pregnancy.

Therefore, the expected date of delivery is also calculated from the first day of the last menstrual period.

The expected date of delivery is calculated by subtracting 3 from the number of months (adding 9 if the month is less than 3 or equal to 3) and adding 7 to the number of days (adding 14 to the number of lunar days).

The entire full-term pregnancy lasts 40 weeks or 10 months of gestation (1 month of gestation is 4 weeks), which is 280 days.

The actual delivery date may differ from the estimated due date by 1-2 weeks.

The 9th month of pregnancy is calculated according to the Gregorian calendar. The 10 months of pregnancy are calculated based on 4 weeks as one month of pregnancy.

Through the introduction above, we have learned some calculation skills and methods, so we should start calculating on the day we become pregnant. That way it will be more accurate and our memory will not be so vague. We should start counting from the end of menstruation.
