Will pelvic effusion affect intrauterine pregnancy?

Women's health is receiving more and more attention, and the incidence of gynecological diseases is increasing year by year. Pelvic effusion is also a type of gynecological disease. Many female friends who have had sexual intercourse have encountered gynecological diseases such as pelvic effusion. If pelvic effusion is not treated well, it may affect intrauterine pregnancy, which is a normal pregnancy. So, what are the causes of pelvic effusion?

Most pelvic effusions are caused by inflammation, that is, by exudate from chronic pelvic inflammation. A few cases are caused by ectopic pregnancy rupture, corpus luteum rupture, pelvic abscess, chocolate cyst, and ovarian cancer. Those caused by acute or chronic pelvic inflammatory disease are often accompanied by lower abdominal pain (bilateral or unilateral), lumbar pain, and a history of surgical or medical abortion. The specific reason for the effusion is that the serous exudate caused by inflammation cannot be absorbed by the body and slowly accumulates in the body. Pelvic effusion often occurs in lower parts of the pelvic cavity, such as the rectouterine pouch.

Many women are concerned about one question, that is, will pelvic effusion affect pregnancy? In fact, severe cases will affect pregnancy. Treating pelvic effusion is actually treating pelvic inflammatory disease. At present, many doctors adopt the method of puncturing the posterior fornix to extract the accumulated fluid for treatment, which is very unscientific, because simply extracting the accumulated fluid will not only fail to cure the pelvic effusion, but will also increase the amount of fluid accumulated. Clinically, although everyone knows that the cause of pathological effusion is due to pelvic inflammation and the treatment is also targeted at pelvic inflammatory disease, the large amount of drugs used has not had an obvious therapeutic effect. The main reason is that pelvic inflammatory disease causes adhesion of local connective tissue in the pelvis, making it difficult for drugs to reach the local lesion. At the same time, pelvic inflammatory disease does not necessarily lead to the detection of specific pathogens. Without special targeting, the efficacy is difficult to guarantee. Ultrasound examination showed a small amount of pelvic fluid accumulation, which is not a serious problem and there is no need to be nervous. Pelvic effusion refers to the presence of inflammatory exudate in the pelvic cavity. It can occur after the endometrium becomes inflamed. It is a slightly viscous fluid that exudes from the swollen cells of the endometrial tissue and is gradually wrapped by the surrounding tissue to form a cystic mass. If left untreated, it will slowly grow. If it is too large, medication cannot eliminate it and surgery is required to remove it. Pelvic effusion can be cured completely, but it can only be effectively treated after the pathogenic bacteria are identified.

In fact, there are many reasons in daily life that can lead to the formation of pelvic effusion. In addition to normal pelvic effusion in women due to their physiological characteristics, pathological pelvic effusion is mostly pelvic inflammatory disease or endometriosis. The causes of pelvic inflammatory disease are often related to the patient's bad hygiene habits, such as having sexual intercourse during menstruation, within one month after childbirth, taking a bath within one month after gynecological surgery, etc. Medical-induced infection caused by improper disinfection during artificial abortion and induced labor can also cause pelvic effusion. It is best to perform a posterior fornix puncture examination to identify the nature of the fluid caused by pelvic inflammation. If there are chronic infection lesions, it may be an inflammation of the gynecological system such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes, or it may be caused by tuberculosis or tumors. Pelvic inflammatory disease should be treated early, otherwise it will affect fertility and may lead to infertility.

The above is an introduction to the causes of pelvic effusion. It can be seen that pelvic effusion has a great impact on intrauterine pregnancy. Therefore, when female friends encounter such problems, they should seek timely treatment, especially women who are planning to become pregnant. Proper physical conditioning before pregnancy can provide a good gestational environment for the baby.
