In recent years, with the improvement of people's living standards and changes in eating habits, the incidence of fatty liver has become increasingly high. According to statistics from The Lancet in 2019, the global incidence of fatty liver is 22%, and my country is 7 percentage points higher than the average level. Data from 2018 showed that the prevalence of fatty liver diagnosed by B-ultrasound increased from 15% to more than 31% in 10 years. Fatty liver has surpassed hepatitis and become the number one chronic liver disease in my country. Clinical studies have shown that fatty liver is a reversible lesion, especially for patients with moderate to mild fatty liver. Early diagnosis and timely treatment and conditioning can effectively control the progression of the disease and even restore it to normal. So, when autumn comes, how should patients with fatty liver regulate their bodies in accordance with the autumn climate and food? Eat a healthy diet Patients with fatty liver should pay attention to adjusting their diet and correcting nutritional imbalances. For some patients with malnutrition-induced fatty liver, a high-protein diet should be given, as high protein can protect liver cells and promote their repair and regeneration. They can eat some soy products, lean meat, fish, shrimp, skim milk or yogurt, etc. [1] For patients with fatty liver who are normal or overweight, it is necessary to control the intake of energy, fat, and carbohydrates. For fat intake, it is advisable to choose vegetable oils and foods rich in unsaturated fatty acids, such as fish. Fried foods should be eaten less or not, and various sweets, sugary drinks, and high-energy foods should be avoided as much as possible [1]. Patients with fatty liver should pay attention to supplementing vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber. They should appropriately increase the amount of coarse grains in their staple food and ensure the intake of fresh vegetables. They should limit their salt intake to no more than 6g per day. They should also pay attention to replenishing water to promote the body's metabolism. In autumn, when the temperature drops, many people like to drink alcohol while eating, and patients with fatty liver should strictly limit their alcohol intake [1]. Exercise properly The emphasis in the rehabilitation of patients with fatty liver is that diet and scientific exercise go hand in hand under reasonable medication. Therefore, while controlling diet, some physical exercise should also be combined. Moderate to low-intensity aerobic exercise can promote blood circulation and lymphatic circulation throughout the body, strengthen blood supply to the fatty liver, promote metabolism, eliminate physical fatigue at work, soothe and calm the central nervous system, and help the recovery of fatty liver. Of course, exercise also needs to be moderate. The exercise load of patients with fatty liver should be kept at a moderate to low intensity. You can choose aerobic exercises such as walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, and playing badminton. Aerobic exercise 3 to 4 times a week is conducive to the reversal of fatty liver [2, 3]. Combine work and rest to maintain a good mood In autumn, the human body enters a periodic rest phase. Water and salt metabolism begins to restore balance, and the burden on the cardiovascular system is relieved. People are prone to drowsiness, so they should get enough sleep. Patients with fatty liver should pay more attention to the combination of work and rest and avoid overwork. Patients should not be anxious, but should stay in a good mood and quit smoking and drinking in time[4]. Autumn is an important transitional season. Patients with fatty liver should seize this period, adjust the rhythm of work and life, maintain a healthy and reasonable diet, change bad living habits, insist on daily exercise, and maintain a balanced mentality to promote the disappearance of intrahepatic fat and inflammation.
