When is the due date for pregnancy in May?

Winter and spring are peak birth times. Most pregnant mothers will ask when the estimated delivery time is, because pregnant mothers want to know the baby's birth date first. How to calculate the estimated time of delivery, and whether the baby is born before or after the estimated time, will affect the baby's physical and mental health. So, when will the baby be born if it is conceived in May?

May pregnancy when to give birth

Everyone knows that pregnancy lasts for nine months. If you get pregnant in May, you can add September to May to know when you will give birth. This is how all normal optimization algorithms work. The calculation is based on the total gestational period of 280 days. The actual method is: due date month = month of the first day of the expected date of delivery (9 or -3), due date day = day of the first day of the expected date of delivery (7).

If you have been pregnant in May, the estimated time of delivery will be February 2020. Pay attention to regular pregnancy check-ups, eat more high-protein foods, more fresh fruits and vegetables, and maintain a happy mood.

Genetics means improved pregnancy testing to help you get pregnant and give birth to a healthy baby. The best feeding method is to raise them in a scientifically researched way. During pregnancy, strict pregnancy checkups must be carried out as required. There are strict screening and special items for different weeks of pregnancy and different months.

Women who suspect they are pregnant will go to the hospital for a check-up. If the examination confirms pregnancy, the doctor will calculate the estimated time of delivery based on the menstrual date. For example, if the last menstrual period was on August 1, 2014, the estimated time of delivery would be month plus 9 and day plus 7, so it would be May 8, 2015. There are many confused pregnant women who do not remember their menstrual cycles or cannot calculate based on dates due to menstrual irregularities. Therefore, pregnancy tests and B-ultrasounds need to carefully observe the size of the fetus to predict the estimated time of delivery and then calculate the gestational age. The accuracy of doing so can reach 95%

5 ways to calculate your due date

If there is a slight discrepancy between the due date and the delivery date, pregnant mothers do not need to worry. Because from a medical point of view, deliveries within two weeks before or after the due date are considered to be appropriate deliveries. A baby born before 36 weeks of pregnancy is called a premature baby. When a pregnant woman gives birth after 42 weeks, it is called late birth or overdue birth. This shows that there is a 4-week extension period for delivery for pregnant women of appropriate age. However, if the time of the last menstrual period is wrong or the menstrual period is delayed, the date of delivery is usually incorrect, so the terms "premature" or "late" are not necessarily appropriate. Generally speaking, there are several ways to calculate the expected date of delivery:

Menstrual cycle reverse optimization algorithm

It is the most general method of calculation. Counting backwards based on 280 days (40 weeks), add 9 to the month (or subtract 3) on the day of the last menstrual period, and then add 7 to the time. However, this reverse optimization algorithm is based on the 28-day menstrual cycle, so it must be adjusted according to the length of the individual menstrual cycle.

Pregnancy calendar optimization algorithm

With the circular or disc-shaped pregnancy calendars sold on the market, you can compare the date of the last menstrual period to calculate the gestational age and due date. However, this method may differ from the menstrual period reverse optimization algorithm by 2 or 3 days.

Basic body temperature curve method

If the pregnancy period is calculated based on the basic body temperature curve, it will be approximately 266 to 270 days from ovulation to delivery. The ovulation period can generally be regarded as the fertilization day, so the basal body temperature curve method is extremely accurate. In the ovulation temperature curve, the last day of the ultra-low temperature period is the ovulation period, and then add 38 weeks (266 days) to it, or add 9 to the month and subtract 7 from the day to get the delivery date. There are many ways to calculate the due date. If the date of the last menstrual period is inaccurate, it is easy to calculate incorrectly.
