What causes bleeding during ovulation?

More and more women experience bleeding during ovulation in addition to menstruation. Many people simply think that this is because they catch a cold or something goes wrong during ovulation. But in fact, many people only have a vague understanding of ovulation bleeding, and if you don’t understand this knowledge, it will have a certain impact on your body, because you may not be able to regulate your body well, so you must first understand what causes ovulation bleeding.

The exact cause of ovulation bleeding is unknown. It is generally believed that after the mature follicle ruptures and ovulates, the estrogen level drops sharply, resulting in the inability of estrogen to maintain the growth of the endometrium.

When estrogen levels suddenly drop, the surface layer of the endometrium ruptures and falls off locally, causing breakthrough bleeding in the endometrium.

With the formation of the corpus luteum, sufficient amounts of estrogen and progesterone are secreted to quickly repair the ruptured surface of the endometrium and stop bleeding; or during ovulation, the mature follicles secrete more estrogen, causing congestion of the endometrium and leakage of red blood cells.

It is also possible that when the eggs are captured in the fimbria of the fallopian tube, the blood-containing follicular fluid will be sent to the uterine cavity through the retrograde peristalsis of the fallopian tube, and then flow out of the cervix through the vagina. For those who experience ovulation bleeding, other reproductive tract diseases must be ruled out.

The countermeasures for ovulation bleeding are generally small amount of bleeding, short duration, occasional occurrence, no harm to health, and can usually heal on its own, so no treatment is required; on the other hand, mid-menstrual bleeding and abdominal pain are an "indicator signal" of impending ovulation or ovulation, and if mastered properly, can also be used for safe period contraception; if ovulation bleeding occurs frequently and the amount of bleeding is high. If it causes inconvenience to life and affects sexual life and conception, treatment is required.

Through the above description, you should know that ovulation bleeding is not a very mild symptom, and the causes of ovulation bleeding are diverse. Therefore, once such a phenomenon occurs, you must regulate your body well so as to prevent it from happening. This will also help you to regulate your body well.
