What is the difference between ectopic pregnancy bleeding and menstruation?

After having sex with your partner for a while, as the days go by, you realize that your period has not come yet? Many adult women have had this experience. Sometimes I bleed from below, but I always feel uneasy and insecure. Is it normal menstruation or bleeding from ectopic pregnancy? What is the difference between ectopic pregnancy bleeding and menstrual bleeding?

According to experts, "ectopic pregnancy" refers to a pregnancy in which the fertilized egg implants anywhere outside the uterine cavity, including fallopian tube pregnancy, ovarian pregnancy, abdominal pregnancy, cervical pregnancy and uterine rudimentary horn pregnancy, among which fallopian tube pregnancy is the most common. In the very early stages of ectopic pregnancy, there is no obvious difference between patients with normal pregnancy. However, as the embryo grows gradually, it may rupture the implanted organs, causing blood vessels to rupture and bleed. If not treated in time, hemorrhagic shock may occur, endangering the patient's life.

Abnormal vaginal bleeding can be caused by a variety of conditions:

1. The menstrual volume increases and the menstrual period is prolonged but the cycle is normal. It may be uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, or functional bleeding. In addition, those who have used an intrauterine device may also have increased menstrual flow.

2. Irregular vaginal bleeding during menstrual cycle. It is often functional bleeding, but endometrial cancer should be ruled out first.

3. Long-term persistent vaginal bleeding. Most of them are malignant tumors of reproductive organs, such as cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, etc.

4. Irregular bleeding after menopause. Women of childbearing age are more likely to have pregnancy-related diseases, such as miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, hydatidiform mole, etc.; postmenopausal women are more likely to have malignant tumors.

5. Bleeding after sexual intercourse. Most of them are cervical erosion, cervical polyps, cervical cancer or submucosal myoma.

6. Vaginal bleeding with leucorrhea. It is often considered to be advanced cervical cancer or endometrial cancer with infection.

Bleeding from ectopic pregnancy is generally very rapid, so if sudden heavy bleeding and diarrhea occur more than a month after intercourse, it is very likely an ectopic pregnancy. This is something that female friends should learn and master, and it may come in handy one day. I hope the above summary can be of some help to my friends.
