What causes brown vaginal discharge in early pregnancy?

After becoming pregnant, expectant mothers are particularly concerned about their children. Proper care for the child is necessary for the child's healthy growth, especially in the early stages of pregnancy, when the fetus is not particularly stable, so miscarriage can occur if you are not careful. When the leucorrhea turns brown, it needs to be taken seriously. Below, the editor will show you the reasons why leucorrhea turns brown in early pregnancy.

1. Fetal factors

(1) Threatened abortion, the main symptoms are pregnancy bleeding and abdominal pain in early pregnancy. Generally, during the threatened abortion stage, vaginal bleeding is less and abdominal pain is mild. If there is no abnormality in the fetal development, the bleeding will stop after pregnancy preservation treatment and the pregnancy can continue.

(2) Ectopic pregnancy, also known as ectopic pregnancy. When an ectopic pregnancy occurs, vaginal bleeding usually occurs about 40 days after the menstrual period ends, often accompanied by dull pain, bloating, and heaviness in the lower abdomen.

(3) Hydatidiform mole and bleeding during pregnancy with hydatidiform mole occur later than miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy, usually around 3 months.

2. Maternal factors

(1) If the vaginal discharge is brown in the early stages of pregnancy, it may be due to vaginitis, cervical erosion, cervical polyps, endometrial lesions, tumors, etc.

(2) Implantation bleeding occurs about 7 days after conception. If it is 7 to 10 days before ovulation, it can be suspected that it is implantation and you can go to the hospital for examination. If it is more than 12 days before ovulation, it may be menstruation.

Both fetal and maternal factors can cause a woman's leucorrhea to appear brown after she becomes pregnant. Abnormal leucorrhea in women is generally caused by inflammation. Women are very susceptible to inflammatory infections during pregnancy. It is recommended that women seek medical attention and treatment in a timely manner to prevent the development of the baby in the belly.

Emotions during pregnancy will also have a certain impact on the health of the fetus. Some expectant mothers become panicked when they find that their leucorrhea is brown. In fact, this is very detrimental to the development of the child. Therefore, it is recommended to stay calm and seek medical treatment in time. At the same time, you need to pay attention to genital hygiene to prevent infection.
