Triple-negative breast cancer is a type of breast disease and a type of malignant tumor. In the early stages of the disease, if the patient can actively receive treatment, the progression of the disease can be alleviated. In daily life, female friends should pay special attention to disease prevention and care, and go to the hospital for regular physical examinations. So what are the treatments for triple-negative breast cancer? In many triple-negative breast cancer patients with BRCA1 deletion or mutation, since BRCA1 plays an important role in DNA repair mRNA transcription and cell cycle proofreading, the risk of developing breast cancer in those with BRCA1 gene deletion is as high as 82%, and the risk of developing breast cancer in those with BRCA1 gene mutation is 5%. Relevant studies have shown that patients with BRCA1 deletion or mutation are effective against drugs that destroy the chemical structure of DNA (such as alkylating agents, platinums, and mitomycins), but are less effective against drugs that act on microtubule protein synthesis (such as paclitaxel and vinblastine). Patients with triple-negative breast cancer do not have a higher local recurrence rate than patients with non-triple-negative breast cancer after breast-conserving surgery and radiotherapy. In other words, the local recurrence rate of triple-negative breast cancer after radiotherapy is close to that of non-triple-negative breast cancer. Triple-negative breast cancer is theoretically responsive to DNA-toxic drugs and therefore also to radiotherapy. "Triple-negative" breast cancer refers specifically to breast cancer patients whose estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor and human epidermal growth factor-2 are all negative. Statistics show that this type of breast cancer is more common in young patients. The tumor is highly invasive, prone to local recurrence and distant metastasis, and has a poor prognosis, with a 5-year survival rate of less than 15%. "Triple-negative" breast cancer is ineffective against endocrine therapy and molecular targeted therapy, and treatment mainly relies on chemotherapy. Compared with other types of breast cancer, "triple-negative" breast cancer is more sensitive to chemotherapy and radiotherapy; but if it only receives routine standard treatment, its prognosis is still very poor, with relatively low recurrence-free survival and overall survival rates. When it comes to the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer, we must pay attention to prescribing the right medicine for the right condition. Only by combining surgical treatment with traditional Chinese medicine can we treat the disease. This will be helpful for the treatment and prevention of the disease. Family members should also give encouragement and support to patients to avoid the deterioration of their disease. |
