Picture of lower abdomen and uterus

The uterus is located in the center of the pelvis. Under normal circumstances, the lower abdomen cannot be touched. The front of the uterus is adjacent to the bladder, the back is adjacent to the duodenum, and the bottom of the uterus is connected to the vagina. When doing a bimanual examination, the doctor should cooperate with both hands to touch the uterus in the lower abdomen. Some abnormal phenomena, such as a tumor in the uterus causing the uterus to expand abnormally, may be felt in the lower abdomen at this time. Also, three months after pregnancy, the uterus slowly expands and grows out of the pelvis, at this time the enlarged uterus during pregnancy can be felt in the abdomen.

From a popular perspective, the uterus is located in the lower abdominal pelvic part, that is, the patient can touch the lower part of the line connecting the two sides of the bone hyperplasia, which is the position of the uterus of a normal adult woman. From the perspective of medical anatomy, the uterus is located in the center of the pelvis, with the bladder in front, the duodenum behind, the vagina below, and the fallopian tubes and uterus and ovaries on both sides. The bottom of the uterus is located below the plane of the pelvic passage, and the external cervical opening is located slightly above the level of the ischial spine.

When the bladder is in pain, the normal position of the adult woman's uterus is in a forward flexed position. However, if there is pelvic organ prolapse, the uterus is far away and can slide out of the vagina. After pregnancy or when there is a disease, the enlarged uterus can also extend the pelvis toward the abdomen.

The uterus is located in the middle of the pelvis, between the bladder and duodenum, and the uterus of an adult is protruding forward. The uterus and ovaries are located in the female pelvis. They are a pair of actual human organs, with the outer side attached to the outer wall of the pelvis and the inner side facing the uterus. The upper side is connected to the pelvic wall by the uterine suspensory tendon. It is located at the intersection of the origin and end of the internal and external iliac arteries. The edges are mineralized and the outer edge is adhered to the mesentery. A woman's uterus and ovaries are located on both sides of the uterus. The uterus and ovaries are the main reproductive organs of a woman and can be examined through gynecological color ultrasound.
