Is it better to have more or less menstruation?

Our bodies are our own, especially for female friends, we must learn to cherish our bodies. Health is very important. We should all be nicer to ourselves. Our body is our own. Take care of it and start with small things in your daily life. Only in this way can you have a healthy body. Therefore, for female friends, it is very important to have and complete menstruation on time every month. Menstruation is an important indicator of our physical health.

Menstruation is a physiological cycle that occurs in some fertile female humans and in chimpanzees and other hominins. Cows, mares, female camels, sows, and sheep also have menstruation, and some mammals experience estrus cycles. In women of childbearing age and female primates, the endometrium undergoes cyclical changes every month or so, with autonomous thickening, blood vessel proliferation, glandular growth and secretion, and endometrial collapse and shedding accompanied by bleeding. This periodic vaginal discharge or uterine bleeding is called menstruation.

Excessive menstrual flow and prolonged menstrual period are called menorrhagia in medical terms. If your period lasts longer than seven days, if you pass large clots of blood during your period, or if you have heavy bleeding, you may have menorrhagia. Disruptions in the hormones that control the menstrual cycle often lead to menorrhagia. Conditions such as uterine fibroids, pelvic infection, or the rare condition endometriosis can cause heavy periods. Intrauterine contraceptive devices can also cause this problem.

Excessive menstruation is caused by hypopituitarism, insufficient ovarian estrogen secretion, low estrogen levels in the body, insufficient endometrial proliferation and thin endometrium. It can also be caused by long-term use of contraceptive drugs, as well as endometrial lesions such as endometrial dysplasia, rough curettage that damages the endometrium, endometrial tuberculosis, and individual factors. Therefore, it is recommended to go to the hospital's gynecology department for examination in order to find out the cause and treat it.

The normal menstrual cycle is 28-30 days. It is normal to have a menstrual period one week earlier or later. The normal menstrual period lasts 3-7 days, and most of them are 3-5 days. The amount of menstrual blood varies from person to person, and is generally 20-100 ml. Excessive menstrual blood may be caused by functional uterine bleeding due to factors such as excessive mental stress, environmental changes, malnutrition, and metabolic disorders. Excessive menstrual blood for a long time can cause anemia, and the cause should be found out and treated. Of course, if the menstrual volume is too small due to abnormal uterus, ovary or systemic disease, this situation is also abnormal and you should seek medical attention in time.

Of course, there are some other reasons that can cause changes in menstruation. It can be said that changes in menstruation are closely related to our daily living habits and dietary nutrition. When you suddenly change your diet or living habits, menstruation can easily change. Therefore, you must develop good living habits.
