Four months pregnant weight measurement

Four months pregnant weight measurement

Many mothers will have some minor or major problems after having babies, and they will always pay attention to their physical condition. For example, measuring weight during pregnancy is also a problem. But some mothers don’t know how to measure. Today I will present to you the pregnancy weight measurement.

The standard range of total weight gain during pregnancy varies depending on the expectant mother's body shape and weight. The body mass index (BMI), which is commonly used internationally, is an important indicator for measuring obesity. Expectant mothers can calculate their BMI index based on their pre-pregnancy weight using the following formula, and then determine the weight gain standard during pregnancy.

BMI = weight (kg) / height (m)2

For example, the expectant mother's weight before pregnancy is 55 kg and her height is 1.6 meters, and her BMI index is 50/(1.6*1.6)=21.48.

During the entire pregnancy, it is best for pregnant women to gain about 11 kilograms.

During the first three months of pregnancy, a normal pregnant woman gains about 0.5 kg in weight each month.

After that, weight gain should not exceed 2 kg per month and should not exceed 0.5 kg per week.

During the 7th and 8th months of pregnancy, the rate of weight gain begins to slow down gradually.

Pregnant women who are underweight are more likely to give birth to low-birth-weight babies. A newborn baby weighing less than 2500 grams is called a low birth weight baby. Such newborns have less subcutaneous fat, poor ability to keep warm, weak respiratory and metabolic functions, and are particularly susceptible to diseases. The mortality rate is much higher than that of newborns of normal weight, and their intellectual development will also be affected to a certain extent. The fetus is malnourished and weak and sickly after birth, which increases the difficulty of raising it.

The above is the weight measurement during pregnancy. Have you mothers understood how to measure yourself? This method can also be recommended to other mothers around you. If you find anything abnormal, remember to go to the hospital and have a thorough check-up by a doctor. Don't let go even if it's a minor problem.
