Does pregnancy cause leucorrhea?

Does pregnancy cause leucorrhea?

With the rapid development of the economy, people's living standards are constantly improving. Although people are becoming more and more affluent in life, the various pressures that come with it are also increasing! The environmental pollution in which people live is becoming more and more serious, and it is becoming more and more difficult to have a healthy body and a healthy baby! Therefore, when a new family plans to have a baby, they must learn more about the relevant knowledge to ensure the baby's health! Of course, the most important thing is to understand the various changes in expectant mothers' bodies after pregnancy!

Not only will there be leucorrhea during pregnancy, but it will also increase in amount. Leucorrhea, also known as vaginal discharge, is a white pasty liquid, generally odorless, a mixture of vaginal mucosal exudates, cervical glands, endometrium and fallopian tube secretions, and contains vaginal epithelial exfoliated cells, white blood cells and vaginal bacilli. The amount of vaginal discharge is mainly affected by hormone levels. If women of childbearing age suddenly experience amenorrhea or increased vaginal discharge, it is due to increased estrogen levels and pelvic congestion. Combined with other symptoms, the first thing to consider is pregnancy, and they should seek medical attention promptly for diagnosis.

After pregnancy, the corpus luteum of the ovary secretes a large amount of estrogen and progesterone to maintain the implantation and development of the fertilized egg. After 12 weeks, the placenta is formed, which gradually replaces the corpus luteum and continues to synthesize large amounts of estrogen and progesterone. Therefore, the pregnant woman's body always maintains a high estrogen and progesterone state. As a result, estrogen and progesterone-dependent cells undergo significant changes: the vulvar tissue becomes soft and moist, the vaginal epithelium thickens, the blood vessels become congested, the exudate and desquamated cells increase, the cervix becomes enlarged, soft and congested, and the glandular secretion becomes vigorous. The secretions of the cervical glands, vaginal exudate and exfoliated cells mix together to form leucorrhea, which will be continuously discharged from the body during pregnancy.

Normally, when a woman becomes pregnant, the corpus luteum of the ovary secretes a large amount of estrogen and progesterone to maintain the implantation and development of the fertilized egg. Generally, after 12 weeks, the placenta has been formed and replaced the corpus luteum, continuing to synthesize large amounts of estrogen and progesterone. Therefore, the pregnant woman's body always maintains a high estrogen and progesterone state. As a result, estrogen and progesterone-dependent cells undergo significant changes: the vulvar tissue becomes softened, the vaginal epithelium thickens, the blood vessels become congested, the exudate and desquamated cells increase, the uterus becomes enlarged and congested, and the glandular secretions become vigorous. The secretions of the cervical glands, vaginal exudate and exfoliated cells mix together to form leucorrhea, which will be continuously discharged from the body during pregnancy.

Why does a woman's vaginal discharge increase during pregnancy? Experts remind: It is normal to have more vaginal discharge during pregnancy, but you need to take good care of it in time, otherwise you will be infected with various gynecological diseases. If you find abnormal changes in the color, odor, and texture of your vaginal discharge during pregnancy, you must not be careless. For the health of your baby and yourself, you should go to a regular professional hospital for a gynecological examination in time. It is best to check and treat it in time to avoid affecting the fetus.

For today’s new generation of families, expectant parents know less and less about their children. Some of them can be said to still be children themselves! Therefore, to be a mother or father, one needs not only physical maturity, but also mental maturity!
