Basis for diagnosis of endometriosis

Basis for diagnosis of endometriosis

Nowadays, many female friends are only concerned about their career development and do not pay attention to their physical health at all. Some even choose to stay up late and work overtime to complete their work, which will overload their bodies. Let us now understand the basis for the diagnosis of endometriosis.

Main symptoms:

1. Dysmenorrhea.

Progressive dysmenorrhea is a common and prominent feature of endometriosis and can occur before, during, and after menstruation.

Some patients have severe and unbearable dysmenorrhea and need to rest in bed or take medication to relieve the pain, some even roll on the bed or bang their heads in pain. The pain often worsens with the menstrual cycle and disappears when the menstruation ends.

80% of patients with endometriosis have obvious symptoms of dysmenorrhea!

2. Infertility.

About 50% of endometriosis patients suffer from infertility; among patients with unexplained infertility, about 30-40% suffer from endometriosis.

Infertility in patients with endometriosis is often caused by factors such as pelvic masses, adhesions, fallopian tube blockage, poor follicle development or ovulation disorders caused by the disease.

3. Irregular menstruation.

In endogenous endometriosis, menstrual flow often increases and menstrual periods are prolonged. It may be caused by an increase in endometrium, but is often accompanied by ovarian dysfunction. Irregular menstruation can be used as a diagnostic reference, but it has no value in differential diagnosis.

4. Pain during sexual intercourse.

Endometriosis that occurs in the rectouterine fossa and vaginal rectal septum causes swelling of the surrounding tissues and affects sexual life.

5. Periodic rectal irritation symptoms.

Progressively aggravated cyclical rectal irritation symptoms are rare in other gynecological diseases and are the most valuable symptoms for diagnosing this disease. Symptoms include heaviness, pain, tenesmus, and increased frequency of bowel movements in the rectum, anus, and vulva.

6. Periodic bladder irritation symptoms.

When endometriosis lesions involve the bladder peritoneal folds or invade the bladder muscle layer, symptoms such as menstrual urgency and frequent urination will appear simultaneously. If the lesion invades the bladder mucosa (bladder endometriosis), there will be periodic hematuria and pain.

The above article gives you a detailed introduction to the basis for the diagnosis of endometriosis. I believe that everyone has a relatively preliminary understanding. Therefore, if such a situation occurs in normal times, it is better not to stay up late to work and take more rest.
