Causes of lumbar pain in women

Causes of lumbar pain in women

Nowadays, the competition in society is getting more and more intense. In every company, men are treated like animals and women are treated like men. Naturally, there are more and more strong women. Women are inherently fragile, and under strong work pressure, they can easily get many diseases. Recently, some people often say that they have pain in the lumbar region. I don’t know what disease this is. Let’s learn about it together.

There are several possibilities:

1. Ankylosing spondylitis: About 90% of AS patients first present with sacroiliitis. Later, it progresses upward to the cervical spine, manifesting as recurrent low back pain, stiffness in the lumbosacral region, intermittent or alternating low back pain and pain in both buttocks, which can radiate to the thighs. There are no positive signs, and the straight leg lift test is negative. However, direct pressing or stretching of the sacroiliac joint can cause pain, so it is not like sciatica. Some patients have no symptoms of sacroiliitis, and only abnormal changes are found in X-ray examinations. About 3% of AS first affect the cervical spine, and then progress downward to the lumbosacral region. 7% of AS affect several spinal segments at the same time. It is necessary to do an AP radiograph or CT scan of the sacroiliac joint, HLA-B27, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate test.

2. Lumbar Strain Chronic lumbar strain is persistent, diffuse low back pain, most severe in the lumbar region, with no restriction of spinal movement and no special changes in X-rays. In acute lumbar strain, the pain is aggravated by movement and can be relieved after rest.

3. The main symptoms of lumbar muscle strain are pain in the waist or lumbosacral region, which recurs repeatedly. The pain may change with climate change or fatigue, sometimes light and sometimes heavy, and lingering. There may be extensive tenderness in the waist, and there is no abnormality in spinal movement. In acute attacks, various symptoms are significantly aggravated, and there may be muscle spasms, scoliosis and limited functional activities. Some patients may have traction pain in the lower limbs, but no string pain and skin numbness. The nature of the pain is mostly dull pain, which can be limited to one part or spread throughout the back. There is soreness or distension in the waist, and some tingling or burning pain. It worsens when tired, relieves when resting, relieves when doing appropriate activities and changing body positions frequently, and worsens with excessive activities. It is impossible to insist on bending over to work. It is often forced to stretch the waist from time to time or hit the waist with fists to relieve pain. There are tender points in the waist, mostly in the sacrospinal muscle, the posterior part of the iliac spine, the posterior sacrospinal muscle insertion point of the sacrum or the transverse process of the lumbar vertebra. There is no abnormality in the appearance and movement of the waist, and there is no obvious lumbar muscle spasm. A few patients have slightly limited waist movement.

4. Gynecological diseases

5. Sacral tuberculosis. This is uncommon, and it is easy to be ignored because it is uncommon. PPD test, pelvic anteroposterior film or CT.

A simple pain in the lumbar region can lead to so many possible diseases, which shows how fragile our bodies are. We cannot neglect our most important physical health because of work or making money. If we don’t have a healthy face, what else can we fight for? As women, we should learn to love ourselves. Making money is not the most important thing. We should learn to love ourselves.
