It's dry down there but I don't have my period

Every woman will encounter delayed menstruation in her life. The menstrual cycle is generally 28 to 30 days. It is normal to be 7 days early or late. The length of the cycle varies from person to person. However, it would be worrying if a woman whose menstrual period was originally normal suddenly became longer. So what is the reason why my lower body is very dry but I don’t have my period?

What is the reason for amenorrhea?

First: the reason of uterus. It is also called uterine amenorrhea, which is caused by problems with the uterus, such as incomplete uterine development, adhesions or scars on the uterine wall. There are also women who get sick after the onset of menarche, such as uterine wall tuberculosis, uterine wall schistosomiasis, uterine wall suppuration, etc., and the ovarian hormone cannot react normally and cause secondary amenorrhea.

Second: uterine and ovarian reasons. Also known as ovarian amenorrhea, normal menstruation is caused by the hormones metabolized by the uterus and ovaries acting on the uterine wall, causing it to change, fall, and bleed. If the uterus and ovaries cannot secrete hormone normally, the uterine wall will not change and the menstrual period will naturally stop, such as congenital uterine and ovarian dysgenesis, premature ovarian failure, etc.

Third: Central nervous system reasons. The central nervous system includes the human brain and the hypothalamus-pituitary gland, which control both the pituitary gland and the ovaries. When the nerve center is over-stressed, the ovaries change and cause amenorrhea. Sudden amenorrhea may occur due to a breakup, loss of family, or failure at work.
