Nursing methods for pregnant women with respiratory tract infections

The immunity of many pregnant women is reduced after pregnancy. At this time, they are most likely to suffer from some diseases such as colds. The cold will first cause respiratory tract infection. However, many pregnant friends cannot take medicine during pregnancy. This will have a certain impact on the fetus. So what should they do in life?

1. Radish honey drink (for cough)

Ingredients: 5 slices of white radish, 3 slices of ginger, 3 dates, and 30 grams of honey.

Preparation and administration: Boil radish, ginger and jujube in appropriate amount of water for about 30 minutes, remove the residue, add honey and boil again.

Take while warm. 1 to 2 times a day.

Function and indications: Radish tastes spicy and sweet, and is cool in nature. It has the effects of clearing away heat and promoting body fluid, cooling blood and stopping bleeding, and resolving phlegm and relieving cough. Its alcohol extract has a strong antibacterial effect on Gram-positive bacteria. Ginger is a commonly used medicine for dispelling wind and cold, stopping vomiting and relieving gas. Jujubes are mostly used to harmonize the stomach, nourish blood and harmonize medicines. Honey moisturizes and relieves cough. This drink can dispel cold, clear the lungs, dispel wind and relieve cough.

1. General treatment and care

⑴ The living environment should be clean, quiet, and well-lit. Open windows regularly to ventilate the child and avoid convection wind blowing directly on the child.

⑵ Rest in bed when fever is high.

⑶ Give easily digestible food and provide enough water.

⑷ Pay attention to local cleaning of the mouth, nose and eyes.

⑸ Pay attention to respiratory tract isolation to reduce the chance of secondary bacterial infection.

2. Symptomatic treatment

⑴ Cooling: The following cooling measures can be adopted for high fever above 39℃: ⑴ Physical cooling. ⑵ Drug-lowering.

⑵ Anticonvulsant and sedative: A. Diazepam 0.3 mg/kg each time, intravenous injection, can be repeated after 20-30 minutes; B. Luminar 5-8 mg/kg each time, intramuscular injection.

⑶ Chloral hydrate 60mg/kg enema each time.

⑷ Dongfei mixture: 0.5-1 mg/kg each of Dongmianling and Phenagen, once every 6 hours, can be used 2-3 times. The advantages are relieving vasospasm, improving microcirculation and reducing cerebral oxygen consumption.

(5) Cough: Antitussive drugs are generally not used, but expectorants and cough suppressants are often used.

We have learned some ways to deal with respiratory infections in pregnant women. In life, you can seek treatment according to your different physical signs. It is best to choose diet therapy and drink more boiled water to keep the body unobstructed.
