Intermenstrual bleeding is a disease name in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It refers to a disease characterized by periodic small amounts of uterine bleeding during the ovulation period (i.e. ovulation period). If the bleeding period is long and the amount of blood increases, and if it is not treated in time, further development may lead to metrorrhagia. It often occurs in women of childbearing age. It is more common after childbirth or miscarriage. This disease is equivalent to ovulation bleeding in Western medicine. It refers to a disease characterized by periodic small amounts of uterine bleeding during the ovulation period (i.e. ovulation period).

Diet therapy for ovulation bleeding:

1. Celery and day lily soup: 30 grams of dried celery and 15 grams of day lily. Add appropriate amount of water and boil it into a decoction. It has the function of clearing heat and cooling blood.

2. Celery and lotus root soup: 120 grams each of fresh celery and fresh lotus root slices, 15 grams of cooking oil and a little salt. Wash the celery and lotus root, cut the celery into shreds and the lotus root into slices. Place the pot on high heat, add raw oil and heat it until cooked, add celery and lotus root slices, add appropriate amount of fine salt, stir-fry for 5 minutes, add appropriate amount of water and cook until done, add seasoning and serve. It can clear away heat and cool blood.

3. Yam and wolfberry porridge: 20 grams each of yam and wolfberry, 60 grams of rice. Wash and cook into porridge. It has the functions of nourishing yin and stopping bleeding.

4. Shengdi porridge: 30 grams of Shengdi and 60 grams of polished rice. Wash and slice the raw rehmannia, boil it twice with clean water, take a total of 100 ml of juice, wash the rice, add appropriate amount of water to cook porridge, pour in the juice and boil for another 10 minutes before taking. It has the functions of nourishing the kidney, cooling blood and stopping bleeding.

Prevention and health care of ovulation bleeding:

1. Understand and master menstrual physiology and hygiene knowledge, and pay attention to menstrual health care and hygiene.

2. During the bleeding period, you should avoid excessive fatigue and get more rest; keep the area clean to prevent infection; apply hot compresses to the abdomen when abdominal pain is severe; and keep your emotions stable. Strengthen physical exercise on a regular basis to improve your physical fitness.

3. Before and after ovulation (usually between two menstrual periods, when the basal body temperature rises), you should avoid eating irritating foods such as spicy, hot, and dry foods to avoid increased bleeding and prolonged bleeding.
