Is a blood test for pregnancy effective?

Taking a blood test for pregnancy is the most commonly used method to check whether you are pregnant. It is also a method used when you go to the hospital to check whether you are pregnant or not. Because it can determine whether you are pregnant in a very short time, and the accuracy rate is relatively high, women can also use this method when checking for pregnancy, or they can judge by some manifestations in life.

If you are pregnant, you can detect it by drawing blood. Compared with traditional urine HCG, blood HCG is more accurate, has a smaller error, and can be tested earlier. The HCG blood test is currently the earliest and most accurate way to test whether a woman is pregnant. The HCG blood test is usually done 8-10 days after sexual intercourse to determine whether a woman is pregnant by drawing blood to test for HCG.

◎ Absence of menstrual period

Healthy women's menstruation usually comes on a monthly basis. If it does not come after the due date, the first thing to think of is the possibility of pregnancy. Generally speaking, if a week has passed since the menstrual period, the doctor can roughly detect signs of pregnancy; if it is one month past due, pregnancy is easier to confirm. Some women, even though they are pregnant, still have their period once or twice when they should, but the amount of blood is less than usual and the duration is shorter.

Changes in appetite

Some women begin to experience a change in appetite shortly after their period (1-2 weeks). The things I used to like to eat, I no longer like to eat now. I won’t like the food I’ve eaten once the second time. Some people simply don’t want to eat or even feel like vomiting, and some people crave something sour. Generally, these symptoms will disappear naturally after half a month to a month.

◎ Breast changes

In early pregnancy, your breasts will increase in size and become firmer and heavier. There will be a feeling of fullness and tingling in the breasts. The small particles on the dark yellow areola around the nipple are particularly prominent.

In fact, after a woman becomes pregnant, her body will undergo many obvious changes. So even if you don’t go to the hospital for examination immediately, you still have to make some judgments to understand whether your body has undergone some similar changes, such as cessation of menstruation, changes in appetite or breasts.
