How many days does ovulation usually occur?

In fact, in the past, some young female friends felt that they were still young and there was no need to rush to have children. However, when they reached the appropriate age, they could not get pregnant for various reasons. Therefore, they paid close attention to the ovulation period. Let us now learn about the general period of ovulation.

Ovulation date:

Under normal menstruation conditions, a woman's ovulation period is counted from the first day of menstruation to the 14th day, and the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation are added together to form the ovulation period. It mainly discharges secondary oocytes, i.e. egg cells. After this secondary oocyte enters the fallopian tube, it undergoes the second meiotic division in the fallopian tube. This division occurs after fertilization, after the sperm nucleus enters the secondary oocyte. As a result of the division, a large effective cell, the egg cell, and a polar body that cannot be fertilized are produced.

However, if the egg cell discharged this month is not fertilized, the corpus luteum in the ovary will degenerate, the production of estrogen and progesterone will decrease, the endometrium will not receive the support of estrogen and progesterone, and it will atrophy and collapse. The blood vessels in the endometrium will spasm and contract, and finally rupture and bleed. The endometrial layer will peel off from the uterine cavity and be discharged through the vagina. This is menstruation.

Normal women of childbearing age have menstruation once a month. The period from the beginning of this menstruation to the first day of the next menstruation is called a menstrual cycle. For example, from the perspective of contraception, each menstrual cycle of a woman can be divided into the menstrual period, ovulation period and safe period. A woman's ovulation date is generally about 14 days before the next menstrual period. The 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, together with the ovulation day, a total of 10 days are called the ovulation period. For example, if the current menstruation comes on the 1st, the next menstruation will come on the 29th, the ovulation day will be the 15th of this month, and the ovulation period will be from the 10th to the 19th of this month.

The above article gives you a detailed introduction to the general days of ovulation. I believe everyone has a preliminary understanding. Therefore, female friends who want to have children should pay attention to their ovulation period, but don’t be too stressed and relax.
