Treatments for cervical polyps

Cervical polyps are the most common gynecological problem, but we know that this disease can cause great harm to women. If active treatment is not taken, it may affect women's fertility. Therefore, it is necessary to actively take treatment when understanding and discovering this problem, because it may also cause cervical cancer. So let's learn about the methods of treating cervical polyps.

Many patients with cervical polyps miss the best time to treat cervical polyps because they do not discover them early. Although most of these polyps are benign, they may sometimes be part of cervical cancer. Therefore, we need to pay special attention to the harm that cervical polyps bring to the body.

Cervical polyps are a manifestation of chronic cervicitis. There is a type of polyp whose root is attached to the cervical opening or cervical canal. It is formed by local hyperplasia of the cervical mucosa under the stimulation of inflammation, and protrudes out of the external opening of the cervix. The surface of the polyp is covered by a layer of columnar epithelium, which contains cervical glands. The stroma is rich in microvessels and loose connective tissue, accompanied by inflammatory cell infiltration. This type of polyp can be single or multiple, and is generally small in size, with a diameter of less than 1 cm. It looks like a tongue, is bright red in color, soft and brittle in texture, easy to bleed, and has a slender pedicle. Another type of cervical polyp occurs in the cervical vaginal part, with a surface covered by stratified squamous epithelium and a stroma containing fibrous connective tissue. This type of polyp is superficial, protrudes to the surface, has a wide base, is light red in color, and has a tough texture.

If cervical polyps are not treated, they may gradually grow larger and block the cervical opening, causing infertility. They may also cause bleeding during sexual intercourse or bloody leucorrhea. More importantly, cervical polyps have the potential to become cancerous. Therefore, once cervical polyps are found, they should be removed.

There are many methods for removing cervical polyps, and the new generation of focused ultrasound diagnosis and treatment at Nanning Zhongshan Hospital is currently a new technology for treating cervical polyps. Clinically proven, this technology has the unique and significant advantages of not producing carbonization, being painless, minimally invasive, leaving no scars, not damaging the cervix, and retaining the female reproductive function and pelvic floor integrity to the greatest extent possible. It has brought good news to the majority of patients with cervical polyps and set off a boom in minimally invasive treatments for cervical polyps.

Cervical polyps are very harmful to women, so every woman must not ignore this disease. She must understand her reproductive health and pay attention to any abnormal problems. If you don't pay attention, it will easily cause more gynecological inflammation and sometimes even threaten your physical health.
