What is endometriosis pathology

Endometriosis pathology is a major killer of women. The impact of this disease on women's health is self-evident. The uterus is the base camp for the birth of new life. Once the uterus becomes diseased, it will cause difficulties in pregnancy. Endometriosis pathology is a disease with a high incidence rate. Although it does not pose a huge threat to women's lives, it can easily cause lifelong damage.

Endometriosis is the process in which the endometrial tissue that originally grows in the uterine cavity "runs" to places outside the uterine cavity. The incidence of endometriosis (abbreviated as endometriosis) is about 10% among women of childbearing age, and there is a clear upward trend, making it a "modern disease." 80% of patients have obvious dysmenorrhea and 5% have infertility, which seriously affects the health and quality of life of young and middle-aged women. Endometriosis is neither an inflammation nor a tumor, but it has the characteristics of malignant tumor proliferation, spread, and metastasis. Although endometriosis is a benign disease, not cancer, and will not be life-threatening, it can "grow legs" and migrate like a malignant tumor, and can also "take root", forming local distant metastasis and adhesions with surrounding tissues, causing invasion and destruction to other tissues or organs, especially pelvic organs and peritoneum, and other parts such as rectouterine pouch, abdominal wall incision, umbilicus, bladder, kidney, ureter, lung, pleura, breast, lymph nodes, and even in the joint cavities of the arms and thighs. Therefore, it is also called "cancer that is not cancer" by the medical community.

Endometriosis pathology is also called cancer that is not cancer. This shows how great the impact of endometriosis pathology is on women. It can metastasize to other parts of the body like cancer, but it will not be life-threatening like cancer. Therefore, even so, we should not relax our vigilance and must actively treat it and not be too lax.
