How to remove scars from caesarean section

How to remove scars from caesarean section

Many people have scars. Once a scar appears, it must be removed in time, otherwise the scar will become deeper, which makes it very complicated to remove. So what are the methods to remove scars from cesarean section incisions? There are many good options for removing such scars. However, when removing cesarean section scars, you should also pay attention to your diet and choose light food, which will help improve the scars.

Caesarean section scar removal method:

Scar removal surgery

Principle: Use surgery to reduce the width of scars or change the direction of scars toward skin texture.

Surgery can remove hypertrophic scars and keloids on the belly, as well as scars near joints that impede movement. It is often combined with steroid injections and follow-up with a silicone patch. When used alone, it may cause abnormal scar regeneration.

Steroid injection

Principle: By controlling the abnormal proliferation of capillary endothelial cells in hemangiomas and forming the process of immature new blood vessels, the treatment of proliferative hemangiomas can be achieved. Corticosteroid injections are the first-line treatment for hypertrophic scars and keloids. Intralesional injections every 4-6 weeks are continued for several months or until the scars flatten. Pain during injection often affects patient compliance and may require local anesthesia.

Compression therapy

Principle: It mainly uses pressure to narrow the blood vessel lumen in the scar, reduce blood flow, cause the scar tissue to lack nutrition, and significantly inhibit the proliferation of scar tissue, thus achieving the purpose of scar treatment. This is the standard treatment for hypertrophic burn scars, and although the mechanism of action is unclear and rigorous experimental evidence is lacking, compression garments are often used in hospitals. This special bandage-like garment needs to be used continuously for up to 12 months.

After understanding the methods of removing scars from cesarean section incisions, you can use these methods with confidence. It will not cause any harm to your health and is very helpful in relieving scars. However, scar removal can only be carried out after your body has recovered. Otherwise, it can easily cause various physical problems. This is also something you should pay attention to.
