Introduction to Pelvic Venous Congestion Syndrome

Pelvic venous congestion syndrome is a relatively serious disease, and there are many causes of this disease. It usually occurs in female friends. Of course, pregnant women may also develop this pelvic venous congestion syndrome. After we understand the cause of this disease, we also need to know how to treat this disease. We generally use autonomic nervous system regulating drugs, and on the other hand, we do psychotherapy.

Pelvic congestion syndrome is a unique disease caused by chronic pelvic venous outflow obstruction, pelvic venous congestion, and congestion. Its clinical characteristics are "three pains, two more and one less", namely pelvic pain, low back pain, pain during sexual intercourse, heavy menstruation, excessive leucorrhea, and few positive signs in gynecological examinations. Clinically, it is found that the severity of this disease is positively correlated with the nature of the pain. Open surgery may reveal enlarged, tortuous, varicose or clumped pelvic veins.

Pelvic congestion syndrome is common in women of childbearing age, and symptoms often appear before menstruation. Symptoms include emotional instability, extreme fatigue, breast congestion and pain, unstable lower abdominal pain, lumbosacral pain, vulvovaginal pain, rectal pain, dysmenorrhea due to congestion, dyspareunia and sexual discomfort, heavy menstruation and excessive leucorrhea. Gynecological examination may reveal engorged and varicose veins in the vulva, purple-blue vaginal mucosa, enlarged and edematous cervix, soft purple-blue surrounding mucosa, excessive cervical mucus, symmetrically enlarged and tender uterus, and most cases of posterior uterus; varicose veins in the lower limbs, often accompanied by other symptoms of autonomic dysfunction.

On the one hand, psychological treatment is performed by regulating the autonomic nervous system, recognizing that this is functional rather than organic pain and that surgery is generally not required, in order to reduce the patient's fear. On the other hand, you can try autonomic nervous system regulators, sedatives or muscle nutrition drugs, such as oryzanol, vitamin E, hydrobromic acid, galantamine, neostigmine, diazepam (Valium), etc.

From the above introduction, we can better understand the causes of pelvic venous congestion syndrome, so that we can take the correct methods to treat it in life. We generally adopt the method of drug treatment. If the patient's condition is more serious, we recommend that the patient go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible so that he can recover soon.
