Pubertal Development

Pubertal Development

Whether you are a boy or a girl, when you encounter puberty, you should feel that you are the happiest, because you are young, there are still many possibilities in you, and many things are waiting for you to discover. What we are going to introduce next is the puberty development of girls.

Refers to the period of first reproductive capacity marked by the maturation of reproductive organs and the development of primary sexual characteristics. In humans and higher primates, it is marked by the onset of the first menstruation in females; it generally refers to the age of puberty. Adolescence refers to the transition period from childhood to adulthood. Adolescence is a critical period of rapid growth and development of the human body. It is also the second peak period of growth and development in life after infancy. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines adolescence as 10 to 19 years old. [1] Girls begin and end puberty about two years earlier than boys. There are large individual differences in the age at which puberty begins and ends, which can vary by about 2 to 4 years.

Because the ovaries develop earlier than the testicles, girls' physical development begins 1-2 years earlier than boys. For girls, puberty begins and ends at approximately 9-12 years old and 18-20 years old respectively. The endocrine system matures and the adrenal glands begin to secrete estrogen to stimulate hair growth, resulting in the appearance of pubic hair and axillary hair. The hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis of the reproductive system matures, the ovaries begin to secrete estrogen, progesterone and a small amount of androgen, stimulating the vagina to begin to secrete fluid, the external reproductive organs to develop, and secondary sexual characteristics appear, such as: breast bulge, plump subcutaneous fat, and the leg circumference is generally larger than that of boys. The pelvis becomes wider and is generally 10 cm wider than that of boys. The voice becomes thin and high, etc. Menstruation is the most obvious sign of puberty.

So some people say that after puberty, every aspect of themselves has changed and they are no longer the same as before. In fact, this question depends on how you look at it. Many times, as long as we are optimistic, these changes will become very good. After all, everyone has to grow up, and this is a necessary process.
