Pew: Tablets enter the loser era

The higher the income and education level, the greater the proportion of people owning a tablet

Compared with 2012, the proportion of people with annual income above $50,000 and those with annual income below $30,000 who own tablet computers increased faster in 2013.

The tablet ownership rate among users with low education levels is also growing rapidly.

People with an annual income of $30,000 are considered low-income in the United States. From the changes in the data, we can see that the adoption rate of tablet computers among these people is growing faster than that of other income groups. American losers are entering this tablet computer market.

The same thing is happening in China. When searching for tablets on Taobao, the hottest sellers are iPads, followed by several super cheap tablets that cost less than 500 yuan. The Diaosi economy that cheap tablets and knockoff tablets correspond to is also immeasurable. The people who are targeted by these tablets may be migrant workers, who may not have high incomes and education, but they also crave a rich online life, and tablets are undoubtedly an excellent choice.
