The chance of a miscarriage at 12 weeks of pregnancy

Pregnancy is a happy thing for women, not only for nature, but also for the whole family. It is a cause for celebration to welcome the continuation of one's birth in this world. However, the process of pregnancy is full of many uncertain factors and various unknown risks. For example, the risk of fetal arrest is a very uncomfortable thing for many pregnant women. Many women want to know the probability of fetal arrest at 12 weeks of pregnancy.

What is the probability of fetal arrest at 12 weeks of pregnancy?

First of all, if the baby is not born perfectly, you will be worried for a moment. If the pregnant mother is worried, it will have adverse effects, so keep a good mood. As long as the test results before pregnancy are normal, the chance of fetal arrest after 12 weeks is relatively small, which may be due to cervical problems or because the umbilical cord is severely wrapped around the neck of the fetus in the late stage and oxygen is insufficient.

Secondly, in fact, most fetal arrests occur before twelve weeks, with a probability of up to 80%, and the most common occurrence is before eight weeks. If there is no problem with the sex chromosomes of the test tube embryo itself, and there are no abnormalities in the development of the baby's organs, the possibility of fetal growth retardation after 15 weeks of pregnancy is only 0.6%. But even if the probability is small, pregnant mothers should still be alert to the occurrence of fetal arrest.

In fact, if the fetus is found to have stopped growing and has no heartbeat, there is no need to keep the fetus. After fetal growth retardation, the test tube embryo will send out signals and release some substances to alert the pregnant mother that blood coagulation abnormalities have occurred. For pregnant mothers whose test tube embryos cannot be discharged naturally, serious harm may occur if the pregnancy tissue is not removed from the uterine cavity in time.

How do you know if the tire stops

Step 1: Calculate the actual number of weeks of pregnancy

Doctors need to know the number of days of pregnancy, that is, the number of weeks of pregnancy. With the basic knowledge of the number of weeks of pregnancy, the doctor can roughly determine whether the growth and development of the fetus is normal. Generally, the gestational sac appears at 5 weeks, and the fetal heartbeat will appear at 7 weeks. Then the standard for judging fetal arrest must be that the inspection has reached the worst condition. The next step is ultrasound, the gold standard for determining whether embryonic development is normal.

Step 2: Ultrasound

The early embryo observed under ultrasound is divided into several parts: gestational sac, yolk sac, embryonic bud and fetal heart. Among them, the one that actually grows and develops to eventually become the fetus is the embryonic bud and the fetal heart, while the others may gradually shrink (yolk sac) or become by-products of the fetus.

When the ultrasound shows the following three conditions, it indicates that the fetus has stopped moving:

1. The gestational sac continues to grow, but no embryo or fetal heartbeat is found;

2. The fetal bud and fetal heart have not grown and the fetal heartbeat has never appeared;

3. The fetal heartbeat appeared in the embryonic bud and then disappeared.

The probability of fetal arrest at 12 weeks of pregnancy varies from person to person. I hope all pregnant mothers can maintain a stable mood and regular work and rest habits, and have regular check-ups. Avoid this kind of situation as much as possible. Checking whether the fetal heartbeat is normal in time can also effectively prevent it from happening. If you can have regular inspections and prevent them, you can reduce the occurrence of such unhappy things as much as possible.
