What causes abdominal pain during ovulation?

During the ovulation period, women's bodies will have some abnormal conditions. Don't panic too much about these conditions, as they are generally normal. For example, increased appetite and high body temperature are all common. So at this time, it is best for women to let nature take its course. So what causes abdominal distension and pain during ovulation? This is something that many women don't understand. Let's take a detailed look below.

What causes abdominal pain during ovulation?

Lower abdominal distension and pain generally do not occur during ovulation. Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease may cause these symptoms. You can go to the hospital for routine leucorrhea examination, B-ultrasound and other related examinations to confirm the diagnosis and treat the symptoms. However, ovulation bleeding may occur because the estrogen level decreases after the follicle ruptures and ovulation, and the normal growth of the endometrium cannot be maintained, resulting in endometrial breakthrough bleeding. The following symptoms occur on the day of ovulation: 1. A drop in basal body temperature. When a woman's ovulation day comes, her body temperature will suddenly drop on the ovulation day, then soar on the second day, and then continue in a high temperature stage. Through basal body temperature, women can see obvious changes in body temperature on ovulation day.

2. Increased cervical mucus secretion. In the first half of the menstrual cycle, the cervix does not secrete mucus and the vulva is very dry. After this, the cervix secretes a small amount of thick, opaque mucus. Just before ovulation occurs, with the appearance of estrogen, luteinizing hormone (LH) secretion reaches its peak, and the cervical mucus becomes thinner, transparent, and clear, and the amount also increases. Ovulation day symptoms are more obvious at this point.

3. Ovulation pain. When women ovulate, they will have some pain in their lower abdomen. This is relative to the general population. Some women cannot feel the ovulation pain, but some women have very obvious ovulation pain. When ovulating, there will be obvious pain in the abdomen, which is very easy to detect. Women can infer based on actual circumstances.

After understanding what causes abdominal distension and pain during ovulation, women who experience this during ovulation must go to the hospital for examination in time, especially women who are preparing to become pregnant. They should pay special attention to this. If they suffer from gynecological diseases before pregnancy, it will have a great impact on their pregnancy and can even lead to infertility.
