Which days are safe periods?

We all know that the few days before and after a woman's menstrual period is a safe period. No contraceptive measures are needed when having sex during the safe period, but which specific periods are safe? Let’s take a look at the introduction below.

If the menstrual cycle is always accurate, ovulation may occur on the 14th day after the menstrual period. After the egg cell is released, it can survive for about 2-5 days, and the sperm can survive for 1-3 days after entering the female reproductive tract. Therefore, not having sex 3-4 days before ovulation and 5-7 days after ovulation can avoid pregnancy.

For a woman with a regular menstrual cycle, the time of ovulation is basically stable. Having sex during the safe period to achieve the purpose of contraception is called the safe period contraception method. This method is not suitable for young people because they cannot have sex every week or so. This method is suitable for middle-aged people.

Basal body temperature method: Basal body temperature refers to the body temperature of a healthy person after waking up in the morning. It is generally the lowest body temperature of the day. For women of normal childbearing age, the body temperature rises immediately after ovulation and lasts until the beginning of the next menstrual cycle. Using the changing pattern of a woman's basal body temperature, her ovulation period can be found, and sexual intercourse should be avoided for 3-4 days before and 5-7 days after ovulation.

Observation method of changes in vaginal secretions:

Vaginal secretions change regularly with the different periods of the menstrual cycle. During ovulation, the mucus becomes more and more, the vagina feels moist, the mucus becomes clear, and the mucus can be drawn into threads, up to 10 cm long. The last day of this mucus is generally the ovulation period. Do not have sexual intercourse for 3-4 days before and 5-7 days after.

Safe period sex is suitable for people with normal menstrual cycles, couples who often live together, and who can master and strictly abide by the safe period; couples who do not often live together, women who have given birth or miscarriage, women whose mental state, living environment and health have changed, women who cannot master the safe period, and newlyweds who are emotionally excited and have strong sexual desire are not suitable for safe contraception.

The above is some of our introduction to women’s health. We hope that female friends will do a good job of contraception when having sex, whether it is during the safe period or not, so as to avoid unexpected consequences.
