What is milky vaginal discharge?

When a girl reaches puberty, the ovarian function gradually improves, and a milky white, nearly transparent liquid will appear in the vagina. It flows very regularly, sometimes more and sometimes less. This is the leucorrhea, which has the function of keeping the vaginal mucosa moist. Here are some basic common sense about leucorrhea. Female friends should pay more attention to their own bodies, and men can also learn about it for your friends of the opposite sex. When a woman's reproductive tract is infected by bacteria or secondary to a tumor, the amount of leucorrhea will increase, and the properties and color of the leucorrhea will change, becoming yellow, green, or milky, with a fishy smell or odor, etc., accompanied by discomfort in the vagina and vulva: itching, redness, swelling, pain, tears in the eyes, or punctate bleeding in the vagina. This is abnormal leucorrhea. Common genital tract viral infections include herpes simplex virus infection, which causes increased vaginal discharge and, when combined with bacterial or fungal infections, severe pain in the vulva and a large amount of foul-smelling purulent secretions. If genital warts are combined with gonorrhea, syphilis, trichomoniasis, bacteria and other infections, the amount of leucorrhea will increase and even have a foul odor. Bacterial infections of the reproductive tract, such as gonorrhea, can produce large amounts of purulent leucorrhea with a foul odor. In case of fungal infection, the leucorrhea is milky, white, cheesy, or bean curd-like, and is tightly attached to the vaginal mucosa and difficult to separate. When infected with Trichomonas, the amount of leucorrhea is large, foamy, yellow-green, or yellow-white, and has a strong itchy sensation. The leucorrhea caused by bacterial vaginosis is thin, homogeneous or thin, pasty, grayish white, grayish yellow, or milky yellow, with a special fishy odor. There are also some diseases such as cervical erosion, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc., which can increase the amount of leucorrhea and change its properties. Tumor diseases such as fallopian tube cancer and cervical adenocarcinoma can also produce a large amount of vaginal secretions. If the above abnormal leucorrhea occurs, you should go to a gynecological hospital as soon as possible. The earlier the diagnosis, the better the treatment. These problems cannot be taken lightly. Many female friends do not take minor physical problems seriously, or are too embarrassed to tell others, which leads to consequences that make them regret for the rest of their lives.
