Symptoms of genital herpes in women

If we want to treat female genital herpes in our daily life, we need to use surgery to reduce inflammation. In addition, genital herpes in female friends may cause damage to the female reproductive organs, and in severe cases it may cause infertility. For a disease like female genital herpes, although we cannot use drugs to treat it ourselves in life, we know its symptoms which help us detect the disease in time.

Genital herpes is an infection caused by the herpes simplex virus and usually affects one in every four to five adults. There are two types of this herpes virus, one of which causes ulcers around the mouth (herpes simplex, cold sores, labial herpes) and the other causes genital herpes. Herpesviruses have a wide host range and can infect humans and other vertebrates. There are seven herpes viruses that cause herpes in humans. Herpes viruses primarily invade tissues of ectodermal origin, including skin, mucous membranes, and neural tissue. The infection sites and diseases caused are diverse, and there is a tendency for latent infection, posing a serious threat to human health.

Many women experience no symptoms at all or only mild discomfort in the genital area when they have a herpes infection. Some patients develop herpes (small blisters) or ulcers around the vagina, which may even extend into the vagina. These ulcers are often painful and itchy, and are often accompanied by redness and swelling of the genital area (vulva). Many women experience pain when urinating, which they may mistake for a bladder infection until they discover an ulcer.

In the early stages of the disease, ulcers last for as little as a week, but usually last for 2-3 weeks. When the old ulcers begin to heal, new ulcers begin to appear. The lymph nodes in the groin may also become painful and swollen. During the first week of the illness, flu-like symptoms may appear, such as fever, headache, or body aches. After the first infection, it usually recurs several times within a year, but the pain is less than the first time, the contagiousness is reduced, and the duration is reduced by half. The disease process is that before the ulcer appears, the skin around the genitals will feel itchy, tingling or burning, which lasts for about two days. Some women experience frequent attacks, while others may have an attack once a month.

Through this article’s introduction to the disease of female genital herpes, I believe everyone should know what the symptoms of female genital herpes are. The symptoms of female genital herpes are generally ulcers on the genital organs or small blisters in the vagina, accompanied by certain pain. I hope you can understand its symptoms.
