How to use hawthorn to treat irregular menstruation

Hawthorn tastes sour and sweet, can help digest food, and has an appetite-stimulating effect. Many women like to eat hawthorn snacks. If you use hawthorn wisely, it can help you regulate your menstruation.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that hawthorn has the effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, and can treat irregular menstruation and dysmenorrhea. It is an excellent food therapy for patients with blood stasis type dysmenorrhea.

Patients with blood stasis type dysmenorrhea often experience lower abdominal pain on the 1st or 2nd day of menstruation or 1-2 days before menstruation. When the menstrual blood flows smoothly, the pain will gradually decrease or disappear, and the menstrual blood is often dark in color and accompanied by blood clots.

Women with blood stasis type dysmenorrhea can wash 1 kg of hawthorn with core, add appropriate amount of water, simmer until cooked, then add 250 grams of brown sugar, simmer for 10 minutes, until it becomes a thin paste. Start taking it 3-5 days after the start of menstruation, take 30 ml of hawthorn paste each morning and evening, and stop taking it 3 days after menstruation. This is one course of treatment, and the effect will be seen after taking 3 courses in a row.

However, if you are pregnant, do not eat too much hawthorn, because hawthorn may cause miscarriage, so pregnant women should eat less of it.
