How long does it take to give birth after the induced labor injection?

The pregnant woman will give birth 36-72 hours after the induced labor injection. Due to different physical conditions and different sensitivities to drugs, some may give birth immediately after the injection, while others may not give birth 72 hours after the injection. There is no big difference between the induced labor injection and normal labor. Most patients will feel abdominal pain after 24 hours. With the increase of uterine contractions, it will gradually intensify, just like normal delivery, with spotting and amniotic fluid rupture, followed by the delivery of the fetus and embryo. The fetus can basically be delivered after 36 hours, but some may exceed 72 hours.

Induced abortion is very harmful to the body of pregnant women and must be performed in a professional hospital. After induced abortion, do not eat raw or irritating foods, pay attention to rest, and refrain from sexual intercourse within one month.

The induced abortion surgery during the second trimester of pregnancy usually involves injecting 100 mg of levanol into the amniotic cavity. It will take about 24-48 hours for the baby to be born after the injection of levanol. For most patients, it will take about 48 hours for the test tube embryo to be expelled. Because it takes a certain amount of time for the drug to work in the body, and there are individual differences. Generally, after taking Levanol, you need to take Mifepristone internally to soften the cervix and solve the problem. Some patients can inject diazepam 10 mg intramuscularly around 10 pm to soften the cervix and help the test tube embryo be expelled. So the baby will be born usually within 24 to 48 hours after the injection.

In clinical medicine, if the pregnancy is more than 14 weeks and less than 28 weeks, most of the abortions will be performed by amniocentesis. Generally, there will be a mild feeling of low back pain 24 hours after amniocentesis, followed by abdominal pain. In most cases, miscarriage occurs within 30-40 hours after surgery. Of course, some women are more sensitive to drugs and may suffer miscarriage within 24 hours after surgery. Therefore, after the puncture surgery, abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding should be carefully observed.
